"Shun! Y-you're back," Alice's timid voice calls.
"Yeah," answers Shun, "I'm glad to be home."
"I'm glad you're back too. Come, sit down."
Shun walks to the bench Alice is sitting on and sits down.
"How are you, Alice?"
"I-I'm fine. Just worried about you guys," she replies.
"Sorry to make you worried," says Shun, "we tried our best to come back as soon as possible."
"Yeah, I appreciate it," answers Alice. She looks away.
"Are you... alright?" asks Shun, troubled.
"Uh, yeah.." Her voice trails off.
"Um, how did it go?" asks Alice, "did you... meet anyone new? Or make any new friends?"
"We met Ren, Jake and Fabia," Shun responds.
"Uh... I'm not sure how to say this but, do you like Fabia?" Alice looks into Shun's eyes, "be honest."
Shun looks alarmed. "No! I don't like Fabia. It's just that we had to help her protect Neathia."
"Oh, okay." Her voice doesn't sound convinced though.
"Look, Alice, my heart already... belongs to someone," says Shun. He looks at the ground.
"Oh? Who.. is it?" asks Alice, curious. It probably isn't me though, Alice thinks to herself, someone like him would never like me.
Shun clears his throat. "It's.. you," he finally answers.
"R-really?" clarifies Alice, "I-I don't believe it."
"Alice," Shun says, looking deep into Alice's eyes, "you're the one I like. The one my heart belongs to. Ever since we met, I've always liked you. You had such a quiet yet adorable manner."
"B-but," Alice stutters, "I heard Fabia resembles your mother.."
"So?" asks Shun. "I only think of Fabia as a friend. Nothing more."
"But, wouldn't you have a sense of closeness with her?" Alice explains, "she seems a lot like your mother, Shun."
Shun's eyes widen. "I can't believe you, Alice. Your innocent heart was always so innocent. Now you're doubting my words and thinking I like Fabia?" He gets up to leave. "I liked you for your loving heart, Alice. If your heart has changed, I don't know if I can stay with you anymore."
"No! Shun!" Alice tugs at Shun's hand. "Don't leave. Please, forgive me. I-I only held a bit of... I guess, jealousy, in my heart. When Dan told me about Fabia, I thought about giving up! Please, Shun, don't go."
Shun turns around, facing Alice whose face is covered in tears. "I-I shouldn't have said those harsh words, Alice," he says to Alice, "I won't leave."
"Thank you," answers Alice. Shun sits back beside her.
"I just want you to know my heart belongs only to you, Alice."
Alice nods. "Mine too."
