Remus Lupin sighed and walked sleepily downstairs to the kitchen. It was 3 A.M. on a brisk October mid-night and Remus needed chocolate. Now, usually he kept a stash in his and Nymphadora's room, (far from his children), but he'd been so busy with Nymphadora's recent pregnancy, doctor's visits for her, and a Full Moon coming up, he hadn't noticed his chocolate stahs dwindling at an alarming rate. Now, he had woken in the middle of the night and needed to retrieve his 'step-in-stash' from the refridgerator. Stumbling down the last three steps, he then fumbled with the light switch to turn it on, and opened the fridge door. (Don't ask why he wasn't using magic, because he didn't know. He supposed Arthur's 'way-of-life' was wearing off on him.) Looking in the fridge expectantly, he was instead let down epically. Clenching his hand tight on the fridge handle, and then slamming it shut, he stomped upstairs to what he knew was the source of his chocolate problems, his oldest daughter, Kennedy's, room.
"Dya! Dya! Wakeup!" He walked through her open door and grabbed her blue, fuzzy pillow from under her and hit her in the head with it. The fifteen year old ripped out her earphones and sat up abruptly.
"Dad! What are you doing!? I'm tried of being harrassed at 3 in the morning! Change Darin's diaper on your own!"
Remus groaned.
"Kennedy Anne, this is NOT about Darin's bathroom problems, it's about my missing chocolate stash! Know anything about that, hmph?! I know you do because YOU ATE IT!!!!!!"
"I love how i'm accused first!" She rolled her eyes.
Remus put his hands on his hips and looked at her flabbergasted.
"How in the world would you know that YOU are being accused first!? I could have accused your mother! You don't know what goes on in our room!"
"EWWW!!! YOU'RE DISGUSTING, GET OUT OF MY ROOM!"
"Oh, for the love! I didn't mean it that way you little pervert! What did I do to deserve a chocolate-stash-eating, pervert of a daughter!?"
"What did I do to deserve a choc-o-holic, accusing, sick-o of a father!?"
Remus stood their for a moment, biting his bottom lip so he didn't say anything further on the matter and grabbed her wrist.
"That's it! Get up! If you're going to eat my chocolate and lie to me about it then you're going to the store with me to buy some more!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
"When I get home I'm shooting myself." Kennedy stared at her father, eyes wide and fists clenched in anger.
"YOU ARE!? I'm the one that doesn't have the one thing in life that keeps me going! WHAT KIND OF STORE RUNS OUT OF CHOCOLATE!"
"Apparently the "gittish kind of store", sir." The cashier reminded him of his recent words.
Remus sighed and smiled slightly.
"Thanks for your help anyway." He started for the door but turned when Kennedy didn't follow him. She was too busy apologizing for her father's "irrational behaviour"....Remus didn't even know she knew what 'irrational' meant. He smirked to himself, seeing not only the aplogy, but flirting, and sighed as he leaned against the door.
"Oh, Dya, don't leave your old man hanging at the door....We must go raid other stores until we find chocolate!"
Kennedy groaned, slipped the cashier her number quickly and stalked past her father to the car.
She wished she could apparate and not deal with how muggle-ish her father had been acting recently....
But she wished alot of things.....
