Venom
Author's Note: I really don't think Beck and Jade are right for each other. They're funny, but that's about it. If this was real life, they probably wouldn't be able to handle fighting for too long. But I do think Jade could be happy without him, so this is what was created.
Disclaimer: I do not own Victorious.
She released every form of venom she had inhaled through her mouth. And he could do nothing but stare. Since when had she gotten to this?
Oh yeah. No one left to care. Empty house. Empty heart. It all gets to you, you know?
Her cousin used to do it, but he always got caught. He was stupid; she wasn't. Got her started though.
Beck wouldn't tell a soul. He begged and pleaded that she stop. Didn't she love him? Yes. Didn't she want to make things easy for him?
Why did everything have to be about him? Enough!
I'll have my venom in peace, thankyouverymuch.
Beck's resilient and throws her warning glances in class and outside Andre's house. And rehab brochures mysteriously appear in her locker.
She uses the scissors on her locker to cut them up.
Jade knows he's tried, but the venom makes her feel good. Not as good as when she was with him, but itdidn'tmatter. Because he was already half-gone to Tori anyway. His hands only touched her body for the heck of it. They'd retreated from the threshold of lovelovelove a while ago.
The venom just helped her get over it.
She considers leaving it. After all, mom is feeling better and it looks like Jade might get to be an assistant director. But then, Mr. and Ms. Aren'ttheysoperfect are being cute in front of her locker, and they better scoot before she shoves them off.
And Jade can't stand to see it. It's degrading. He didn't hold Perfection like he held Mess-up. Soft and romantic, instead of possessive and bored.
Screw it. She didn't need love; she wanted her venom.
Jade hit her low. Her hospital bed was next to a teenage boy's. Morenno, brown hair, brown eyes, tired face, crooked smile. His story was similar, but worse.
And they connected, became friends, and grew dependent on each other. But then, Jade ran away because what if he ran first like Beck?
He held her close though, and it felt different. She didn't need to worry. They'd help each other move on and throw away that venom because who needs it anyway?
