#37 - Friendship/Platonic
Pairing: Sasori/Kankuro
-
Today is my 8th birthday and I'm so excited! Sasori said he would bring me a special present today. I can't wait!
Kankuro quickly got a shower, put on his favorite hoodie, and applied his face paint carefully. He wanted to ensure that he looked his best to impress Sasori.
Sasori is 13 years old and my best friend. He has a lot of cool puppets that he builds and he has been teaching me all about them. I cant wait until I'm old enough for one of my own. I wanna show Sasori that he taught me well.
I hear a knock on the door and I rush to answer it before my sister Temari. I don't think she likes Sasori very much because she finds his puppets kinda creepy.
I open the door to see Sasori standing there with a really big package.
"Hi Sasori,: I say happily while waving at him.
"Hey Kanky," he says while carrying his package inside.
Sasori followed Kankuro up to his room where they sat in their normal spots on the bed.
"I think I got something that you will really like. Happy Birthday Kankuro."
I got off the bed and walked over to the center of my room where Sasori had set the gift down.
The present was wrapped in shiny purple paper, the same shade as my make-up.
"Can I open it now?" I ask excitedly.
"Go ahead."
I quickly tear the pretty paper off of the box and then carefully open it to peer inside.
Inside the box was an exquisitely carved puppet. I stared in awe at the flawless details on it. I notice the scorpion symbol on it signifying that it was Sasori's own design and creation.
"Oh thank you so much Sasori! I love it and it looks amazing!" I wrap my arms around him and squeeze tightly. I try to convey how happy it made me in my hug.
"Just take good care of it like I taught you Kanky." Sasori gave a soft smile at my happiness.
"Will you teach me to use my puppet as well as you do?"
"Sure, get used to this one first, then I'll teach you."
