I'm Holding Out For Edward Cullen

Summary: A few summers after Harry's 7th year, he and Ginny are back together. But then, while visiting a Muggle bookstore, she discovers a book called Twilight, and inevitably falls for Edward Cullen...H.P./Twilight.

With a satisfied sigh, Ginny shut the book. It had been one of the best she'd ever come across, especially from the Muggle world. And she simply loved the vampire called Edward Cullen; he was divinely perfect in every way.

Everyone had been worried about her when they had seen how absorbed she had been by the book; Mrs. Weasley had gone as far as checking the book for jinxes. But Ginny knew the book was not jinxed or cursed, just enchanting.

She picked the book up, rose from her chair, and stretched, deciding to loan the book to Hermione; she would appreciate it.

She exited her room, going up the stairs to Ron's room, where he would surely be with Harry and Hermione.

Ginny was right; there was Ron, sitting on the bed with his arm around Hermione, while Harry sat against the wall. She dashed to Hermione's side, book in hand, and spoke to her:

"Here, Hermione. I finished it and I think you'll like it."

"Thanks, Ginny," Hermione smiled, looking at the cover and tracing it with her fingers. "Twilight," she murmured to herself, flipping the book over to read the back.

Ginny walked over and sat down next to Harry, entwining her fingers in his and pecking his cheek. Ron didn't much like it; he gave them a warning look, so as to say, "Watch it."

Ginny just rolled her eyes at him. "Don't act like you don't do that sort of thing with Hermione, Ron."

Ron went pink at her comment and began to read over Hermione's shoulder.

"It's about vampires? Are they real vampires or the Muggles' idea of vampires?" Ron asked Ginny.

Harry gave her a quizzical look. "You're reading about vampires?"

"Yeah. It was a good book, too. And Ron, it's a sort of combination of real vampires and legendary vampires. I think the author might not be a Muggle to know so much about real vampires."

Hermione, oblivious to their conversation, opened the book and began to read.

For the rest of the day, the four sat in Ron's room, Hermione devouring the book, Ron watching her worriedly, and Harry and Ginny conversing.

Sometime in the afternoon, Ron gave Ginny an accusing glare and said, "What've you done to my girlfriend?"

Ginny smiled deviously at him. "I've converted her to the fandom."

Ron just continued to glare. Hermione paid them no mind.

--

The next day, Hermione was still reading the book, while Ron grew more concerned. At the end of the day, she sighed dreamily and closed the book.

Ron also sighed, but in relief. "Good," he said, "You want to go somewhere tonight, then?"

"Yeah, Ginny and I will go, too, right Ginny?" Harry offered.

Then, simultaneously, Ginny and Hermione replied:

"Sorry, I'm holding out for Edward Cullen."
