She was beautiful.
"Gaara-kun! Let's play a game!" _'s shrill voice pips as she leaps from off of the wooden swing beside me. I follow her with curious eyes as she trots across the deserted playground and to a far oak tree.
"What game?" I ask, jumping off my swing as well and following suit of her. Peeking her head out from behind the large oak she grins at me and squeaks,
"Hide and seek!"
She was so beautiful.
"Gaara-kun! Let's play a game!" _ sings, skipping up behind me and latching her arm around my own. Pulling my pale limb free of hers I speak in a raspy tone,
" _, I have no time to play games with you."
"But it's been so long so we played hide and seek together," she complains. An urge for blood surges through me as I feel her warm breath against my cold cheek. I turn away from her before I have the chance to think.
She was oh, so beautiful.
"_-chan, where are you?" I say roughly, slowly. I walk stealthily through the dark and quiet park. A twisted wire tightened around my heart as I approached an old and large oak tree. "Come out, come out wherever you are…" Peering around the trunk, I see a face that was so familiar to me, so well known in my eyes to forever be smiling. She bore no smile on this night. Tears puddle on her cheeks as she looks me in the eyes and whispers,
"Please, Gaara, I don't want to play hide and seek anymore…"
Oh, she was so beautiful.
