AN: Bucky and Steve fics have really helped me recently through a lot of troubled but it's hard to find just silly fluff. So, inspired... enjoy!
"It is currently 6 in the morning," FRIDAY spoke over the speaker and the blinds automatically were pulled up. Long, golden rays of sunshine entered the room but were thankfully dimmed by the tree just outside.
Bucky groans and felt his metal arm buzzing and whirling quietly in response to his irritation, "Why did you have that thing set so early in the morning?"
He quickly pulls the blankets up from where they rested on his hip and full hid underneath of them and away from the early morning sun. Steve moaned as he stretched his arms over his head and land on bucky once they relaxed.
"Come on, Buck. If FRIDAY didn't help us out we'd never get out of bed in the morning!" Steve threw his portion of the weighted blanket off of him and onto bucky which earned him a growl of disapproval. "Bucky! You know what will happen if you don't get out of the bed soon!"
Steve disappeared into their bathroom while bucky pulled his head out just enough to stare at the ceiling. A sprinkler sat above their bed and if the weight of the bed was not empty after ten minutes it would go off and soak them. All steve's idea after bucky refused to get out of bed for eight days straight.
Glaring as if it would make the sprinkler explode, bucky slowly rolled out of bed and onto the floor next to it. Bucky made a huge thud as he rolled onto his metal arm to catch his fall and managed to drag his pillow with his other hand with him.
"Bucky!" Steve yelled as he ran back into the room after hearing the sound of metal crashing but saw that the bed was empty. He took a moment to down an entire cup of black coffee in one sip before he rubbed his eyes and marched over to the floor between the bed and the window. "Really, Bucky? This is not what I meant when I said to get out of bed."
Bucky now laid on the floor with nothing but boxers on the comforter half on him and half still clinging to the bed. He was whining loudly and growling at Steve when the blanket was attempted to be removed. He whipped his head around and gave a signature death glare at his boyfriend which was hidden by the tendrils of tangled hair that covered his eyes.
"Come on and get up, babe and I'll make you some fresh coffee and pancakes?" Steve reached over and pushed a long strand of dark hair out of Bucky's face to reveal the death glare and couldn't help but giggle at the sight. It never was easy to get bucky out of bed in the morning and even harder if he had nightmares that night. However, last night, Bucky sleep soundly and didn't awake once.
The tired soldier grumbled at the idea of Steve's coffee and slowly himself up against the nightstand. "What if I don't get up?"
Steve pulled away and stood up to think for a second and looked around the room. He smiled when his eyes landed on something by the front door. "If you don't get up, I'm hiding all your hair ties for a week!"
The death glare hardened but Steve just smiled and walked off. Bucky hated how long his hair was but only kept it because Steve loved it so much and he could keep it out of his eyes with his hair ties. He groaned loudly which turned into a quiet whine as he forced himself to stand up, throwing the bedding on the bed as he did so.
"You owe me, Steve Rogers."
"Steve turned around and crossed the room, planting a small kiss on Bucky's lips. "Trust me, my love. Has my coffee ever disappointed you?"
And with the promise of coffee still on his mind, Bucky smiled and follow steve in the rest of their apartment inside the Avengers compound.
