The storm raged outside Hyrule Castle as if to reflect the condition of the interior.
Various servants bustled about the castle. The center of the commotion seemed to be a room on the
top floor near the north tower. If one was to look inside the room, perhaps through the window,
one would find a seemingly calm room. Queen Zelda lay in her bed very tired and several teenage
girls were scattered about the room.
Upon closer inspection, one familiar with Hyrulean culture would notice that, aside from
being different tints of blue, green and red, these girls were different from Hylians and only
remotely similar to Sheikahs. They were, in fact, of human origin, the only visible sign of
their heritage being their short, rounded ears and light skin. Three of these such beings sat
around the young Queen singing to her. Or rather to a new entity coming and presenting herself
to the world. The other 2 girls were asleep in big comfy chairs in the Queen's chamber. Also
with the Queen was her best friend, a Sheikah girl named Impa. Zelda trusted Impa more than
anyone else in the world except maybe the Goddesses. That was why the girls were there. They were
not just any human girls. They were the Goddesses. The 2 blue ones were twin Nayrus, the 2
green ones were twin Farores, and the red one was Din.
Din and one of the Farores were asleep in the chairs, but the Nayrus and the other Farore
were watching as the inactive child began to emerge. Amy, the Goddess of Life and Healing, and
the Farore that was awake, was startled when the Queen's pulse became fainter. The Goddess of
Time-Wisdom, nicknamed Zenda, began to sing the royal song to guide the soul of the dying Queen
to the Sacred Realm. But she never came. Her soul was within 5 ft of the Time Goddess and still
she had been lost.
Or was she? The Princess wailed as the servants nearly dropped her in shock when they saw
her big blue eyes flicker open. Luckily, Kristina, the Space-Wisdom Goddess caught her
telekinetically before she hit anything. Kristina levitated the baby over to herself and checked
her pulse. It was present and correct. They had originally thought the child was stillborn, but
the Life in those eyes was unmistakable. The Goddesses entrusted the infant girl to Impa, and
told the King what had happened. In his sorrow he became cold and cared naught for the new child,
as he secretly held her responsible for his wife's death. No matter how little he cared, she
was still special. Powerful magic had created a being to last forever. Zelda was reborn.
