Sunrise, Sunset

By LupineMoon

Arthur Weasley watched proudly as his little girl, his only daughter and her fi-no husband, dancing alone. He couldn't believe she was getting married.

Is this the little girl I carried?

Is this the little boy at play?

Molly Weasley stood next to her husband, smiling. Was it already seventeen years since Ginny had been born? It seemed like just yesterday that she had watched her daughter boarding the Hogwarts Express for the first time.

I don't remember growing older

When did they?

Arthur marveled at his daughter. She was pretty, smart, courageous and loyal. He couldn't have asked for anyone better.

When did she get to be a beauty?

When did he get to be so tall?

Molly thought back on the years of Ginny's childhood. She had always been trying to catch up to her older brothers; forever tagging after them, trying to imitate them. Now, she was all grown up.

Wasn't it yesterday

When they were small?

The men of the Pack grinned at Harry. They were tempted to do a prank or two but were afraid of their wives' wrath, so decided not to…yet.

Sunrise, sunset

Sunrise, sunset

Swiftly flow the days

Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers

Blossoming even as we gaze

The women of the Pack were smiling, some with tears in their eyes. Their children were all grown up.

Sunrise, sunset

Sunrise, sunset

Swiftly fly the years

One season following another

Laden with happiness and tears

For a moment, a rare moment, Sirius sobered up and contemplated if there was anything else he and Remus needed to tell Harry about

What words of wisdom can I give them?

How can I help to ease their way?

But he knew that now they were on their own.

Now they must learn from one another

Day by day

Ron gazed at his sister, dancing with his best friend. And he thought of Hermione

They look so natural together

Hermione watched Ron and smiled. He could see that look in his eye, that I'm-thinking-about-something-important look. She just hoped it was what she was thinking of.

Just like two newlyweds should be

Simultaneously, Ron and Hermione turned to each other, asking a silent question.

Is there a canopy in store for me?

And everyone watched as the newlyweds danced.

Swiftly flow the days

Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers

Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset

Swiftly fly the years

One season following another

Laden with happiness and tears

For the first time, in a long time, everyone was happy.
