Now, let's never talk about you being related to her again. Because I'm technically still engaged to her, and that's really weird."
Cinder couldn't help laughing, even exhaustedly, even just to cover up the screaming inside, as he bound her up in his arms again. Her headache began to fade, replaced with the strength of his heartbeat and the way she felt almost delicate when she was pressed up against him like this.
Almost fragile.
Almost safe.
Almost like a princess.

Suddenly Adri walked in, making them jump apart.

Cinder glanced around for Kai, looking for a sense of comfort, but he was gone. She stood up as quickly as she could, nearly falling over again. As she regained her balanced, Cinder saw a box of unused android parts. They were back at her apartment.

"You dishonored our family, you little nuisance." Adri toppled Iko's body onto the floor.

"I'm sorry if Garan adopted me,"Cinder cried hoping that it will distract her from destroying anymore of her things. "I am sorry if I ruined your life!"

"No Cinder, you did more than ruining my life, you ended my daughter's life too!"

All of a sudden, Chang Sacha appeared beside Adri complaining about the grease smell, then Peony, Pearl, they all cornered Cinder, making it hard to move, impossible to breathe.

"You are driving customers away."

"I missed my chances finding a husband because you."

But the last one was the hardest to bear. "Cinder, you-you killed me."

They all disappeared, Cinder screamed. She sat up, and stared a wall trying to calm her racing nerves. That by far was the most horrifying dream she has ever had, even worst than the Levana ones. Something shifted beside her, she froze. Slowly and cautiously, Cinder ejected a knife from her index finger, and ripped the blanket off the person beside her.

"Cinder." Growled Thorne, Thorne! "A captain needs his beauty sleep, you know this." He pulled the covers over himself again. She pulled them back off.

"Aces Cinder let me sleep."

"Thorne, what are doing in my bed?"

"What you don't remember last night," he started. "Because I certainly did." He the sentence off with a wink.

She looked down, she was wrapped in a blanket. It felt like she was going throw-up in her mouth. She screamed, waking up in a different bed. She sat up and turned a lamp on.

"Ow, Cinder." Kai groaned into his pillow. "Why did have to scream in my ear?" He turned to face her, eyebrow raised.

"Oh," said Cinder, glad it was her husband. "I didn't mean to wake you." She brushed her hand threw his hair.

"It's fine, what's wrong did you have another bad dream?" She nodded.

"Was it another Levana dream or an Adri dream?"

Cinder looked down, and smirked "worse, an Adri/Thorne nightmare." He grimaced and looked at the clock on his nightside table.

"Adri-Thorne? What did they do make out in front of you or something?" She shuttered at the thought . He racked his hand through his hair. "Anyways it's only 1 am, maybe I can help you sleep for a few more hours."

Cinder yawned sleepily. "Thanks."

"No problem, just being your husband." He rolled over and turned off the lamp.

He pulled her down onto the bed, brushing some of her back he leaned in to brush a light kiss onto her forehead. Kai put an arm around her waist and pulled her in until she could smell his fresh scent.

Cinder laid her head on his shoulder.

"Sweet dreams," he whispered.

She kissed him on the cheek. "Sweet dreams."
