- One-shot. Bored during Christmas (but finished it the day after haha). Uhh, that's my summary. Go on and read, ignore my rambling.

"Ah!! How I love Christmas!!" Kaori squealed while spinning around in circles with snow falling upon her face. It was Christmas Eve, and Metro City was filled with flashing lights that represented the upcoming holiday. Families were planning their Christmas dinner, along with spending time with all their relatives and friends. With the fresh coat of snow planted onto the city, children were playing freely and happily with their friends.

Many were out to finish their last minute Christmas shopping. Kaori was one of those people, searching a gift for Mac. She sighed, feeling disappointed at the fact that none of these items in the store fit him. A new snow board? A jacket? What? Questions kept popping into her head, making it even more difficult to choose. The whole day, she looked from one store to another. Nothing seemed to be the right gift to give her best friend/ the boy she's had adored ever since the start of the SSX tour.

Kaori walked out of the store. There were many people crowded near the Christmas tree in the park. She stared at it with amazement. "It's so pretty!" she exclaimed. Deciding to see the tree closer, Kaori started to walk while her eyes were still glued to the scenery in front of her. Already entering the park and still being stunned by the tree's beauty, she bumped into someone, tripping backwards and falling onto the snow-covered grass.

"Ow…" she said, still sitting on the grass. The person she bumped into, who didn't fall like she did, asked "Need a hand?"

Kaori's eyes widened. 'That voice… I know who it is…'

The guy bent down. She looked up at him. And there was Mac, smiling sweetly at her.

"You okay?" he asked again, offering his hand.

"Yeah…" Kaori started to blush and grabbed his hand. He brought her back to her feet and now she was standing beside him.

After a quick check to see if there was any snow left on her, Kaori turned to Mac.

"Thanks. You always seem to be the one I bump into whenever I'm in a daze" she said with a small laugh

He couldn't help but laugh at how cute she was acting. "I'm always here for you, Kaori." Now he hesitated. Mac looked at Kaori. She had a smile that he had always loved. It was the perfect time to say what was on his mind ever since he first met her.

"Kaori," he started "I have something to give to you." He took out a small wrapped box from his pocket and placed it in her hands. "Open it."

Kaori eyes widened again. She thought 'How sweet!! But I don't have a gift for him…' . She tore off the wrapping, held the small box and opened it. What she saw made her glow.

"Wow…" she said with amazement. Kaori took out the heart-shaped ruby necklace out. "Wow… I… Thank you, Mac!" she said happily with a gleaming smile. "I didn't get you anything, I—"

Interrupting her, Mac suddenly pulled her towards him and placed his lips on hers. It was the perfect moment, her smiling at him with that loving smile, both of them alone in the park.

She didn't know what to say, or what to do. What was happening made her confused and made her think 'Is this a dream or am I just going psycho?!' Forgetting all the stupid questions running around her mind, Kaori let this perfect moment wrap around her. Christmas Eve, in the park, together with Mac… It all was perfect.

Once they separated, Mac said with a loving smile "Merry Christmas, Kaori."
