A New Start
Chapter One
Disclaimer: I don't by any means own any of the characters in Heist Society. They belong to Ally Carter. If only though…
In Paris, in the Interpol building, a pretty dark haired woman is slowly losing her cool. She was stuck with the job of interrogating the infamous Bobby Bishop who was suspected of stealing a prominent statue at the Louvre.
"Will you just tell me where you where on the night the statue was stolen?" she demanded. She, Amelia Bennett was regretting ever working for Interpol.
"But then the fun would end. I can't let that happen." Bobby remarked. He then got a gleam in his eyes. "I'll make you a deal then. I'll cooperate if you agree to go to dinner with me tonight."
"Fine but then you have to be completely honest when I interrogate you."
"I think I can do that, but at dinner we will be friends and we won't talk about the interrogation or my supposed confession. We will have to be honest when the other asks us a question and we will be civil to each other." Bobby remarked.
"I just want don't want to deal with you anymore so I'm willing to agree to these conditions."
"Good. I'll pick you up at eight. Where do you live?"

At Amelia's apartment while she prepares for dinner with Bobby…
"I've taken a shower and shaved. Now all I have to do is pick out a dress, do my hair, and throw on some jewelry."
She tried on several dresses until she found the perfect one. It would definitely work in a formal restaurant. Bobby said to dress for the red carpet.
The dress was a sea blue knee length cocktail dress. It was a one shoulder ensemble made of chiffon with a silk ribbon that was just below the chest to make it look like it had a high waist. The ribbon had some cinches in it to make it elegant. The high waist slimmed her tummy, the one shoulder accented her graceful arms, and her long legs were shaped by the knee length fabric.
She had her hair in an up do with tendrils of hair framing her face and resting on the nape of her neck. For jewelry, all she wore was a blue glass pendant in the shape of a heart on a silver chain.
While she was getting ready, she started to feel butterflies in the pit of her stomach. This is ridiculous. I feel like a teenager again, one who's finally going on a date with her crush… wait! I thought I got over thinking like this when I got pregnant with Nick. And I don't like Bobby that way. I'm only going out with him to get a confession out of him. Even though he is kinda cute and funny and extremely charming…No! Focus, Amelia. You want a confession and that's it.
At eight o' clock…
A quiet knock on the door interrupted Amelia's maniac pacing. I have to be polite if I want him to talk. She walks to the door and takes a deep breath. She throws the door open and gasps. He looks so handsome.
