This happens after that Elizabeth saw the cursed pirates in the moonlight. My first one-shot in years so please be kind!
English is NOT my native language so there will be a lot of spelling and grammar errors! Sorry if Elizabeth is a little bit OC but I did make her a little bit softer after what she saw. I don't think she will have a big mouth after what she saw.
A little bit of Elizabeth/Barbossa.
I don't own Pirates of the Caribbean or Elizabeth or Barbossa
Elizabeth ran back into the captain's cabin, scared of what she saw out there. Every pirate who worked on deck were not normal pirates. They were cursed pirates, skeletal pirates.
Even Captain Barbossa who grabbed her and made her look how he changed in nothing but bones. After Elizabeth saw that she almost fainted. What has she gotten herself into?
She ran to the darkest corner so she would be part of the shadows. It was quiet in the cabin and Elizabeth put her arms around her knees. She was shivering but not from the cold but from the fear.
When will Captain Barbossa come back? What will he do to her? What if she fell asleep? She would be an easy prey for the pirates who wanted more than just look at her.
Will she ever see her father again? Or Will? Could she ever tell him she loved him? After a while thinking she became really tired. But tried to stay awake and she looked at the door of the cabin.
After a while her eyelids became very heavy. She tried to stay focus but she did an awful job. Every time her eyes closed and every time a little longer.
Until she gave in and fell asleep.
Hector Barbossa Captain of the feared Black Pearl slowly entered the captain's cabin. He almost expected to see that Turner girl standing with her back to him and slowly turning her head like she did with dinner.
But she wasn't . He couldn't see her at all. Wondering where she was he heard a slow breathing in a corner of the cabin. Right behind the large table.
When he walked to that corner he saw her sleeping at the ground. Her arms protectively around her body.
Barbossa rolled his eyes and picked her up. A Turner or not she shouldn't sleep on the floor so he put her into his own bed.
He couldn't help but wondering why she didn't look like Bootstrap Bill Turner. Her face, her brown eyes her hair color. Bootstrap Bill had none of that. She was a pretty little thing, but Bill?
Maybe she took after her mother. He didn't know her mother but that would be the only explanation. Her luck he thought.
He walked to the large table where he had dinner with Elizabeth and sat down and looked at her. He was thinking what he should do with her after her blood lifted the curse.
Maybe she could stay onboard, she had a fury attitude he liked. But then she was a Turner and he hated the Turners because of Bill. So maybe he should throw her overboard.
He didn't know what he should do. But he would think about it. If she shows that she is the same as Bill he would throw her overboard. When she is different he will keep her onboard and be his pirate bride.
By the thought of that he smirked and picked up some reading stuff and began reading.
Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes and realized she must have falling asleep. She cursed herself for falling asleep and checked if she had still her clothes on.
Relieved that all her clothes were still on she then came to realize she was in a bed, with dark red sheets. How did I get in here? She thought. It was already light in the room. So it must be already morning.
"So yer finally 'wake" she heard behind her.
She turned around and fell almost out of the bed because her legs were wrapped in the sheets. When she freed her legs she saw the captain standing there with his arms folded.
She looked at him with big eyes, she was still scared of him. And figured out he must put her in bed last night. Disgusted by that thought she wondered why he did it.
"W-why?" she asked quietly still looking at him. He only smirked. "Turner lass or not ya shouldn't sleep on the floor so that's why" he turned his back to her and walked to the table.
She looked at the floor she wanted to say something but no word escaped her lips. She stood up and walked to the window to look outside but she saw only sea. Slightly disappointed she returned to the bed where she sat down.
Barbossa followed her with his eyes every move she had made. No single sign of Bill in her.
After a few hours Elizabeth became hungry but did not dare to disturb Barbossa. Not what happened after last night. He was reading but Elizabeth's stomach was rumbling and that alerted Barbossa. He looked up.
"Was that ya stomach?" he asked bluntly, Elizabeth turned rather red. "S-sorry" she mumbled. Barbossa only grunted and threw her an apple.
"Eat" he ordered her. "And no it ain't poisoned"
Elizabeth smiled and took a smile bite.
No she had nothing of Bill in her, she was different. He would make her his pirate bride. But he didn't know she wasn't even related to Bootstrap Bill Turner at all.
