Annabeth smiled as she easily looped her fingers through Percy's. They had just finished dinner and just felt like talking.
"So, what are things like in the Poseidon cabin? Thrown any big parties lately?"
Percy laughed. "Me and Tyson? Yeah, we're big party animals. We threw a big party the other night with the nymphs from the river. We were so crazy, you wouldn't believe." Annabeth chuckled. "And yours?"
"Um… Same old same old. Everyone is either reading, drawing, or out at the arena practicing. I think I'm going to change up some of the rules and stuff. But keeping it clean doesn't help when the Stoll twins come and prank us every other night." She groaned as Percy laughed.
They reached the river and sat underneath Juniper's tree, knowing she wouldn't be there, as she was with Grover. Annabeth sighed and leaned against Percy as he put his arm around her shoulder. He kissed the top of her head, and they sat there for a good twenty minutes. "Percy."
"Yes?"
"Do you promise me that you'll never forget me?"
Percy looked at her, his eyebrows knit together. "What do you mean?"
"Just promise me."
Percy smiled. "I promise that I will never forget you, Annabeth Chase."
"Percy?"
"Yes, Annabeth?"
"I love you."
Percy smiled and kissed her. "I love you, too."
