"You don't seem to be sad about it," white haired man said, he was looking down at a young girl that was standing by her open coffin staring at her own lifeless body. Her blood red hair hung loose around her moving now and then with the passing wind. The girl looked at the man her green eyes meeting his golden ones. She recognized him from the day before.

"There is no point in it really. Not crying nor being angry at it, it would have happened at some point. It's just too bad those guys are still free." she answered tearing her gaze from him looking at her own body once more. They did a good job in cleaning her. It looked almost as if she was asleep; if only she wasn't this pale you would have thought she would wake up at any given moment.

The girl looked once more at the man standing before her, "I had a feeling when you saved me that you weren't normal, can you see spirits? Is that what I am going to be for the rest of my existence?" she asked, she had a feeling he will have the answers she was looking for now, "You know I would have thought there was life after death but I am still here." Her eyes seemed distant as if she was looking at something far in the horizon.

"You could say I am dead just like you are. There is life after death, a place called soul society, I am from there." he paused, they have decided to stay hidden and not get involved in those kind of stuff, he promised himself that she will be the only one. The girl had gotten his attention the day before, she had some spiritual power. Now that she was dead he could feel it better. She would attract Hollows, he could have left it for some shinigami that probably will come by at some point… but he felt like he was responsible for her death so he ended up coming anyway.

"I came to send you there," he draw out his sword, she didn't move away from him but accepted it, "If you would remember any of this, don't say a word about who sent you there." he said putting the hilt of his sword gently at her forehead watching as the soul burial started. She looked at him once more locking eyes with him; she walked up to him and gave him a gentle kiss, almost like a breeze of the wind. "Thank you, I will keep it a secret." She said as she closed her eyes. "Do yourself a favor, stay out of trouble." He muttered somewhat awkwardly. Opening her green eyes she smiled before vanishing.

Her eyes opened at the sound of the wind-bells that hung at her window ringing, Akina closed her eyes turning to her side. This memory again, she couldn't remember anything from her life when she was alive, only the few last days when she met that man.

After she was sent to soul society she had decided to become shinigami. Once she graduated from the academy she was placed in the ninth division as ninth seat and soon enough she climbed her way to the third seat, which she was right now. Over the time she had discovered who this man was, Kensei Muguruma he was the captain of her division before mysteriously disappearing with some others that became what they called Hollows.

However Akina knew that they weren't. She didn't know what happened over hundred years ago, what she did know was that he was the one that helped her. Thanks to him she was here now and she was happy with her life.

Almost…
