Steve's speech is going so well, up until he mentions a certain fact (that turned out to be not so factual based on the press's reaction).

Bucky is honestly just as confused as Steve is.

Sam tries to tell them what's wrong but can't keep a straight face and excuses himself from the conversation when he starts giggling.

Natasha pats Steve on the head and says faux-sympathetically, "Don't worry, it took me a long time to understand the United States too. You'll get there eventually."

Wanda just shrugs.

Tony howls with laughter so hard and so much that Rhodey hauls him out of the room when Steve enters the room they're in.

Rhodey himself doesn't treat Steve any different, just cracks a half-smile and redirects the press when they start hounding Steve.

Scott isn't even phased.

Peter nods and compliments, "At least you got most of them, I nearly failed that test in Geography because I was thinking a mission I had planned for that night."

Clint cackles and shakes his head, muttering about kids getting ahead of themselves.

T'Challa pinches the bridge of his nose in empathy.

Thor doesn't get the problem. "What is it that you have erred in? Is your country not comprised of such portioned territories?"

It's Bruce who finally takes pity on him enough to explain what the deal is: "We've got fifty states now, not forty-eight. The new ones are called Alaska and Hawaii, both officially made states in 1959. Sorry about your speech, Steve."

AN: Poor Steve.
