Chapter One: Regeneration
The Knight was on the end of his first life. It was coming time for him to regenerate and start a new. Funny thing regeneration, you never knew what you were going to get. He hoped nothing on him would look to conspicuous after his change. This would be his first time regenerating and he was needless to say weary about the whole thing.
The Knight could feel every cell in him fading away. It would not be long now, he could feel it starting. The Knight walked over and looked into his bedroom mirror. This would probably be the last time would see himself, this version of him that is. The Knight's body started to burn as he felt the regeneration process really start to kick in.
One part of the Knights mind knew that he should let his body go and let the process take its course, but the other part of his mind did not want to. If he did let go he would die, he would be born again yes but still he would die. The Knight now knew what his comrades meant it was like dyeing and being born at the same time. The problem was he was not quite going for the dying part of it. Holding it off though was useless. It was the equivalent to trying to stop the Sun by shutting your eyes.
Then it happened, the Knight let go. Regeneration energy exploded through and out of his body. The Knight started to scream in horrible pain as the last of him was being tore away and a stranger was being put in his place. The Knight's face burned in excruciating pain as it was being melted away and being reformed. He felt his bones turn to liquid and solidify in a instant. He felt his feet grow, his back extend, he felt the last of him make it's final departure.
The Knight grabbed on to his dresser as he nearly collapsed to the floor. His body felt odd to say the least . He did not feel solid, everything looked weird as if he were seeing it for the first time, and to top it off he suddenly had no idea who he was. The Knight looked into his mirror. The man who looked back at him had red-hair, brown-eyes, and a rather long nose. He was also needless to say looking rather youthful. Talk about a hell of a day.
