Well, I had this idea, and I wrote it as soon as I could. This features three of my OCs: Noreen the sea otter, Lisa the river otter, and Dani the fisher. (A fisher is an animal.)
Anyway, hope ya enjoy. =)
Chapter The First
'Private's too young to watch soap operas,' said Noreen. 'Didn't he see the warning at the beginning? It says you have to be fifteen or over to watch that junk!'
'You let me be the judge of that, mustelid!' replied Skipper.
'Fine,' said the sea otter. 'I'm outta here,' She stomped off. 'I don't know why you want to watch trash about women getting pregnant and having emotional breakdowns and stuff.'
Private switched off the TV. A question that he'd thought of a few days ago was bugging him: how did women get pregnant? He wandered over to where Skipper was drinking his fish coffee, and asked, 'Skippah?'
'Yes, Private?'
'Skippah . . .'
'Yes?'
'Well, Skippah . . .'
'YES, Private?'
Private shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot. 'Skippah . . . ?'
'PRIVATE!'
'Skippah, how do women get pregnant?'
Skipper sharply inhaled half his coffee by mistake and spluttered it out on the table. When he was finally able to speak, he smacked Private around where his ears would stick out if he had that kind of ears. 'What made you think of that question?' Skipper demanded.
The unfortunate Private stammered nervously, 'Well, Noreen was talking about—
Skipper facepalmed. Why do I have to be stuck with the most gullible penguin on earth? he wondered.
'Okay,' said Skipper. 'First, do not listen to anything that crazy sea otter says. Second, go and ask Kowalski your question.'
Private wondered if Kowalski's explanation would be any more helpful than Skipper's. If his question could make Skipper choke on his coffee, what would it do to Kowalski?
Kowalski was sitting at his desk, doing something which Skipper just knocked me out for trying to tell you, when Private walked in.
'Kowalski?'
The scientist nodded absently. 'Yes, Private.'
'K'walski, can I ask you a question?' said poor Private, who was feeling more and more nervous by the second.
Kowalski turned away from his secret project and faced Private. 'You can, I guess.'
'Well . . . K'walski, how do women get pregnant?'
Kowalski stammered, 'Well . . . you see . . . it's not that simple . . .' Then he fainted.
Heeheehee. Please review!
