Disclaimer: If this were mine, I wouldn't need to rhyme.
Spoliers: Just watch season 2, episode 7, "Out of Time." It will really make this easier to understand.
Petals Floating
--
Listen to the cries for help;
Face alone the dragon's lair.
Petals floating through the air.
--
Look into the eyes of stars;
See your future waiting there.
Petals floating through the air.
--
Smell the fire burning bright;
Change the story if you dare.
Petals floating through the air.
--
Taste the lips of ruby red;
Nothing's ever truly fair.
Petals floating through the air.
--
Touch the skin of pale moonlight;
Say farewell into her hair.
Petals floating through the air.
A/N: It seems to me that poor Hiro is destined to live a life of solitude. How many women has he fallen in love with now? Does he ever stop to think he's got a pattern going? Meet woman, fall in love, vanish. Talk about a metaphor for the modern stereotypical man. Anyway, that rant over, onto the actual discussion of the poem. Ahem. This is basically a reflection of Hiro's thoughts at the end of season 2, episode 7, "Out of Time." This is love interest number 2: Yaeko. By the way, please note the syllable pattern. That's not easy you know. And Hiro thinks it's hard to fix the past. Hah!
