"Marianna!" I called from outside her door. "I just need to talk to you for a second and then you can go back to hating me."
"I don't want to speak to you." She called from the other side of the door.
"Well, maybe moms will when I tell them about-"
"Get in here!" Marianna hissed cutting me off. I waltzed into her room. "Blackmail Jesus, really?"
"Look, it was the only way you'd talk to me." I said shrugging my shoulders. "Marianna, I thought you weren't taking to Ana anymore!" she crossed her arms defensively.
"I mean I can leave you guys." Callie said jumping in.
"It's okay Callie, you don't need to go." I said.
"You wouldn't understand Jesus." She said avoiding eye contact. "She wants to meet over dinner so I can meet her new boyfriend."
"Well, I'm going too!" I said hastily before thinking. Her eyes grew wide. "I'm going with you."
"Are you sure you don't have a date with Lexi?" she said rolling her eyes.
"Why does everything have to be about me and Lexi?" I shot back. "You're the one who dropped us! You couldn't stand to see your best friend and your twin brother happy."
"Get out." She mumbled. I could tell she was on the verge of tears, she always did this.
"No Marianna, you brought it up so let's talk about it." I said trying not to give into her as usual. No matter how mad I got at Marianna I always felt the need to defend her. Not this time. "I save your ass all the damn time but you can't stand to see me happy."
"Just go please." She said opening the door.
"Your party is over Marianna, you aren't a princess anymore so get over yourself!" I said harshly. "You had your time to be the center of attention now move on."
"Jesus!" Callie said abruptly. "Can I talk to you in the hallway?"
"Later Callie, not right now." I said confused.
"It has to be now." She said motioning to the door. "Jesus, what are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Why are you doing this?" she asked me. "I know your mad, but I kind of get where she's coming from."
"Oh come on don't tell me she has you wrapped around her finger too." I scoffed.
"No, but Jesus listen," she said taking a breath. "I just feel bad for Marianna, ever since you and Lexi started dating you have been showing her off a lot."
"Yeah, like you brining Wyatt around Brandon?" I mumbled. I could tell she was uncomfortable when I said that. "Sorry."
"Look Jesus, I'm not trying to lecture you or something, I'm just saying you guys are family. Do you really want to ruin a family bond over Lexi?" she asked meekly.
"So you think I should break up with Lexi?" I asked biting my bottom lip.
"No, I just think that maybe you should let Marianna know that nothing will change between the three of you and that you'll always be her brother and Lexi will always be her best friend no matter what." Callie said as I thought about how bad Marianna felt every time I invited Lexi to stay for dinner.
"Callie, you give some really good advice." I said punching her shoulder.
"Thanks Jesus." She said punching me back. "It means a lot."
