A/N: Okay, short One-shot. Takes places the summer before Victoire's seventh year, which she would be leaving for in the epilogue of DH. Enjoy, and R&R please!
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the hair color, and then again only one of three.
The moon was briefly obscured by a couple on a broomstick. The hot summer night had led them to hop on and sail down gently to the beach that could be seen below.
The boy's hair was a mousy brown, while the girl's red-white hair was braided down her back and seemed to glow in the moonlight. They hopped off the broom and landed on the beach, laughing and slightly drunk.
"Victoire," Teddy said, grabbing hold of her hand, "let's go for a swim."
"At this time of night?" she cried. She giggled and kicked her sandals off. "Last one to the water's a rotten egg!"
She ran off towards the water, her braid soaring from behind her. Teddy grinned widely and followed her. She stopped at the water's edge and he rammed into her at full speed, lifting her off the ground and carrying her into the ocean.
"Teddy!" she cried, still laughing wildly. He dumped her into the waist-deep water, soaking her through. Then he fell in after her, his head falling under the water. When he had come up, his hair was the same color as the night sky, giving the appearance of having no hair.
Victoire hugged Teddy close to her. She rested her head on his should and her hand started to run through his hair.
"I can't believe you have another year at Hogwarts to complete," Teddy whispered into her ear.
"I can't believe it either. Please, lets not talk about that now," Victoire groaned. Teddy smiled.
"Then what should we talk about?" he asked, curious. Victoire smiled secretly.
"How about… this?" she asked, and kissed him. He grinned broadly, his hair turning a fiery shade of red that would of made any Weasley proud. He pulled her close to him, kissing her back in the middle of the ocean.
"I love you," she whispered in his ear when the paused for a breath of air.
"I love you too," he replied. The stood there for a moment, just swaying in the ocean's rhythm. Then hissed her ear, and whispered, "No matter what." Then he began to recite a poem.
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I love Victoire,
More than any of you.
With fairness and coy,
And a beauty that's true,
Victoire, my darling –" He was suddenly interrupted by a loud voice, calling through the air.
"Victoire!" Bill yelled. "Teddy! I know you have her!" Victoire and Teddy blushed, grateful that Bill couldn't see them. They ran back to the discarded broom and hopped on, rising into the garden. They began to sneak towards the kitchen door when Victoire realized something.
"My shoes! I left them there!" she whispered to Teddy. He pushed her ahead and started drifting off to the beach again on the broom he still held in his hand. She waited patiently as he flew back, the sandals hanging off the edge of the broom. He leaned forward to land the broom, but as he did the shoes slid off and hit an unsuspecting Bill square on the head.
"Teddy…" he said threateningly to the empty air.
Teddy swooped by Victoire, who had burst into a fit of silent giggles. He kissed her briefly on the cheek and walked her inside. They were followed closely by Bill, who was carrying Victoire's sandals.
