I hope you like it.
She pulled the bow, the string vibrating and the music danced in the air. A soft lullaby was all it really was. The cello sang with underlying sadness. A silent audience. She created the beautiful melody. Pouring her soul into the lullaby. Wanting him to hear, but knowing he wouldn't. He was too busy, too obsessed with his nemesis.
As the last note quavered in the air Rachel let her head fall, her dark hair caressing the top of the cello. Looking up at the thunderous standing ovation Rachel stood. Taking a quick bow she walked off stage.
Wanting nothing more that to get back to her apartment and going to sleep, Rachel went to her dressing room to change. As she walked in and placed her cello in its case she sat down at the vanity and took off her necklace. She saw a folded slip of paper taped to her mirror. She untapped the paper and began to read the short message.
My Dearest Raven (Rachel now)
I know you thought I wouldn't hear you perform because the team split up. But I want you to know I've come to every one of your concerts. I would never miss one for all the bad guys in the world. I never got to tell you all those years ago, Rae. I love you. I love you and I always will love you. Remember that always.
Love forever
Richard Greyson
(Robin/Nightwing)
Rachel twirled around in her seat. Standing at the door to her dressing room was none other than Richard, clad in a tasteful tuxedo.
"You mean it?" her voice quivered in self-doubt. Richard smiled and walked into the room, shutting the door lightly behind him.
"I've never lied to Rae." Rachel stood, gracefully crossing the room and stood before him. She wore a full length amethyst gown that hugged all the right curves. Her black hair reached mid-back and her eyes shone a deep amethyst. Richard was entranced. Leaning down her cupped her pixie face in his hands and kissed her.
As they pulled apart Rachel smiled. "I've been waiting for that moment since we formed the Teen Titans."
"You'll never have to wait again." He said, and with that kissed her again.
