Summary: Ryan/Seth. A lot of rain and some lightning. Slash.

When Seth, as a small child, is kept awake by the sound of crashing thunder and raindrops drumming on the roof, he sneaks out to sleep in the empty pool house. Its big windows and grown-up bed make him feel independent and powerful. These nights, he dreams vividly of burning-hot raindrops splashing on his face while a low voice rumbles like thunder in the distance. The next morning, there is a clear sky and bright sunlight slants in through the windows.

Years later, when Seth is a teenager, he falls in love with Ryan, a boy with eyes are the color of rain clouds on a dark night.

Ryan kisses him, one stormy night in the pool house reminiscent to those of his childhood, and Seth tastes the rain on Ryan's lips, cold and wet and shocking. They stand, locked together as flashes of lightning illuminate the room. Seth exhales shakily as he tightens his grip on Ryan's neck.

Tonight, he is content. He dreams, but remembers nothing, waking to Ryan's sleepy smile and warm arm thrown across his waist.
