I wrote this in high school my Junior year for a writing class during one of those "picture prompt" assignments . I had "To the End" by My chemical romance stuck in my head. So hope you like this.
Who thought weddings where supposed to be happy no matter what was wrong. Delilah and frank were meant to be married today, until the war came into their town. The soldiers on both sides fired at each other. The wedding party all silent and fearing for their lives.
"Would you marry me? Would you bury me? Would you carry me to the end?" the bride said in a soft voice huddled in fear with only her favorite song to sing. She heard screaming and the sound of bombs outside.
"Delilah we need to go! We can't stay here! Let's Go" Frank said as he pulled her to her feet.
"Say goodbye. to the vows you make..." she said as tears rolled down her face Frank pulled her out of the church where the wedding was supposed to be held.
Delilah followed frank out of the church. Just as they made it far enough away, the church was struck by a bomb. Delilah stood on shock as the church went up in flames.
"Say goodnight...to the lives you take" frank cursed. They ran to a part of town that the war hit like a tornado. they walked over the debris and tried not to look at the bodies of the dead soldiers.
"say good bye...to the hearts you break..." the bride whispered as she walked past the place she used to call home. They made it to the shore and looked at the fiery beach that blackened the sky with a cloud of hateful smoke. The ashes and smoke choked them as they ran to the boat tied to a dock.
"He's always choking from the stench and the fumes and the wedding party all collapsed in the room, so send my resignation to the bride and the groom!"Frank yelled as they left the place they used to call home.
