She had never been a child. There are no comforting memories, no bridge from birth to adolescence like normal girls. She was born formed this way, with an adolescent body and developed mind. But that's not quite what she wants.

So instead, Naminé draws a childhood for herself. There is an idyllic life on an island paradise, with a small group of friends. It is peaceful and happy, and everything she could have dreamed of.

But even when she pretends, the "memory" rings false, with an undercurrent of self-deceit. So when she is ordered to re-arrange Sora's memories, she leaps at the chance to make her dream come true, to bring it to life. For if he accepts it as truth, then surely it's almost as good as being real.
