There are seven words for death in Purgatory. They have been heard from opposite sides of this deadly land, and repeated all throughout. They are only spoken by two beings, must be sacred in a way.
The first three, "Where's the angel?" are growled out by a human, armed to the teeth with hope and a firebrand of desperation. Cross him, and expect a bloody death. If, perchance, you've seen the angel he hunts, or even heard a whisper of him, by faith, tell! Mercy will be in the swiftness of his knife if you do.
The other is near the same. It's a fallen angel; Grace tattered, but reformed into something even more dangerous. If he sees you, he will ask, "How is the human?" If your news is good, take faith in the fact that Grace is made to be efficient, and ash feels no pain. But abandon all hope if you've heard of, or, faith inflicted an injury. If your luck is that foul, don't bother with prayer, because the mercy of that warrior of God is all. Used. Up.
The way others tell this tale, the two were connected. I think it's true, considering they showed up here at about the same time. Legend, and oh, yeah, they're certainly legend now, says that they have hunted and fought they're way across every land. Heaven, Hell, and Earth are theirs. They've got titles too, given to us by those who joined us while they walked elsewhere. They say that everywhere they stepped changed under their will and force.
It is said that they were fated. The human is a Winchester, and by most fear him just by that surname. The Host of Heaven call him the Righteous Man. And that angel was a nobody. Then they told him to pull that human out of Hell. After that they stuck together. Got pretty close and trusting too. Then even when the orders came up to them, they went their own way. Team Free Will decided they didn't care for the old order, so they destroyed it. The angel took power and even killed his own brothers. All for each other.
Whatever they've done or not, I know that Purgatory is not ours anymore. We're trapped here with them now. They are untouchable, and faith help us all if they ever find each other.
