The blonde sighed quietly, twirling one of her curls around her finger, "You do understand that I'm just going to end up hurting you, right?" She looked over at her best friend, who chuckled, shaking his head.
"You do understand that I'm just going to break your heart, right?" He smirked, sliding his Aviators over his eyes, starting to open the car door. The teenage girl rolled her eyes, slipping her own Aviators over her blue eyes, already out of the car.
"You wanna bet on that?" She raised an eyebrow, gently flicking his ear when he stood in front of her.
He teased her, breathing lightly on her lips, moving close to her, "Bring it on." He whispered quietly. The blonde licked her lips slightly, before grinning, nodding.
She led the way into the ice rink, her partner in crime by her side. Then, wordlessly, she went over to one of her best friend's hockey player teammates, Taylor, and sat down on his lap. Taylor didn't complain, just wrapped his arms around the blonde's waist and she grinned over at the glaring best friend.
They call me heartbreaker; I don't wanna deceive you…
The teenage boy cracked his knuckles, running a hand through his hair. He had known the blonde ever since they were born. They had bathed together as toddlers, experimented kissing techniques with each other during their preteen years, and now he had all the girl's of high school wrapped around his finger, dying to get closer to him, and she had all the boy's wrapped around her finger… who were dying to get closer to her too. He felt a twinge of jealously as he watched the blonde nibble lightly on Taylor's ear, who didn't respond except for grinning slightly.
The brown haired boy groaned, before meeting the eyes of one of his best friend's friends. He smirked to himself, Selena was perfect. He kept her gaze, pushing past strangers to get to her, a small smile playing on his lips. Then when he reached her, he pulled her close, kissing her lips gently once. Twice before walking away from her, knowing plenty well that Selena would follow him. He quickly whipped out his phone, feeling it vibrate against his thigh, he read the text message with a small smirk:
Game on, Logan.
He looked over at the blonde who was giving him so much trouble, who met his eyes directly, twirling her phone in a circle using her fingertip against the table in front of her. She looked slightly amused, he thought, watching as Taylor kissed her neck, pretty much begging for her attention.
He shook his head, turning his attention back to his phone as he felt Selena's arms wrap around his waist.
You can still back out, darling. Save yourself the trouble.
It only took a second for him to get his reply:
Afraid that I'm going to break your heart in pieces, babe?
Logan quickly typed a reply, hitting send as he walked out of the rink, dragging Selena along with him.
Never. Get ready for that green-eyed monster though, Truscott. He's been known to prowl around these parts.
Lilly glanced at her phone one more time, reading Logan's text, laughing a little, before turning in Taylor's arms. And kissing him, knowing that was what Logan was doing to Selena, and that Lilly wasn't going to be the one ending up with a broken heart. She knew Logan too well. She knew his weaknesses more than he did. She knotted her fingers in Taylor's hair, thinking quietly to herself.
"I might tear you apart, told you from the start, I'm only gonna break your heart."
