A/n Hey guys I am really excited to start this fanfic I got the idea from a one-shot by Sushi Chi who gave me permission to run with it and make a multi-chap fanfic so thank you for that.
IMPORTANT: I'm not a fan of Arwen. So in this Fanfic when Gwen came back to Camelot Arthur does not start their relationship back up all she is is a friend
Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin or any of the characters
Prologue
I groaned in to my pillow as I was roused from my sleep by a voice calling, "Mer-lin, get out of bed you were supposed to get me up an hour ago. "
As I realized that the voice belonged to Arthur I shot up and frantically rushed my magic to begin working as my sight. I could sense that Arthur was near my bed so I kept my eyes shut so he wouldn't see their white coloring.
"Merlin why are you keeping your eyes closed? Just open them up so we can get going we have a hunting trip today."
I groaned in annoyance as he rushed me remembering all the times on quests that'd I'd awoken early just to avoid this situation. As Arthur nagged on and I cursed Gaius for letting him into the room I felt the shift in my magic that indicated that with the opening of my eyes my magic would see for me.
I turned in the direction Arthur's voice was coming from and opened my eyes. I was more than a little shocked when my magic delayed in becoming my vision. As I realized my eyes must've looked white I rushed to find an explanation.
"Merlin, what was that your eyes looked white for a second." Arthur said looking at me strangely.
"I can't imagine why." I told him getting out of bed. "If you'd go now I've got a lot to do if you want to leave any time soon."
However Arthur just couldn't let it go. "Seriously though Merlin your eyes shouldn't be white when your asleep are you ill?"
"No my lord. It was probably just a trick of the light." I said willing him to accept it. He nodded as I walked over to my cupboard and began packing.
The king let go of it even though he was still disturbed by the sight of my milky white eyes. After all he didn't know who I was or how I'd be so functional if I was blind.
A/N Sorry guys not very good but we'll get to the batter parts in the actual book part
