Chapter 0- Ryner's Semblance

This is the short story on how I, Ryner, found out what my semblance was.

My parents packed both me and Star lunches every day we went to school. Most days we would get spoiled with some kind of treat or rarely money if our parents didn't have anything. Star was a kind person and would share her treats with those who asked for some nicely. One day at school I got out of class for lunch later than I was supposed to. As I exited the classroom I noticed a small group of people around where Star would usually sit. Curious, I went over to investigate. I knew people would ask for some of Star's treats but this day I had a bad feeling. When I came closer I could hear the school bully talking to star, telling her to hand over her treats. She refused. I maneuvered my way through the crowd. I reached the inner circle where Star and the bully were. I asked Star what was going on. As she was explaining what had happened, the bully grabbed her lunch and ran. I asked Star to hold mine and ran after him. I chased him all the way to a fence along the school's perimeter. The fence was there to prevent us from falling off this steep. To this day, I haven't found out why the school was built where it was. Back to the story. I asked him to give me the lunch. He refused. I knew he wouldn't run since it was quite known at the school that I was one of the top students. With no options left, he turned around and threw the lunch over the fence while saying "If I can't have it no one can!" I ran to the fence to only see the lunch fall. He stood behind me laughing. Electricity started to appear on my arms. Angered, I turned around and punched him in the gut. The force of my blow partnered with the electricity sent him flying. When he landed he shook a couple of times because of the sheer amount of electricity I had put into the punch. This wouldn't be the only time that my semblance would go out of control. I returned to my sister with the bad news and offered her my lunch instead, saying that I wasn't hungry. Later on that day I was punished for injuring another student. It was celebrated at my household however. With the discovery of my semblance, my family was one step closer to finding out who would inherit the family sword. Though I am unable to get into specifics about the sword I can say this. The sword chooses its wielder from my family. Then it does something special, usually corresponding with the wielders semblance. Star hadn't found her semblance yet. Over time I limited myself to using it only out of combat unless absolutely needed. Reason was it would go out of control. More about that later. I guess that about does it for this story. Till next time.
