A sleepover for the soul
~No one's POV~
She should be at home studying, like they always were on Friday afternoons. She would be reading on the couch and he would be sprawled out next to her either watching TV or listening to music. Instead they were going to a sleepover. She had no idea why she had agreed to this. She looked over at the boy. She felt kind of bad for dragging him here. She knew sleepovers didn't fit into the "cool" category but she was great full he had come anyways. She knew everything would be okay as long as he was by her side.
He had only agreed to this because she had said yes. He wasn't going to let her come alone. He only hoped this was worth his time. It wasn't that he minded sleeping over at his friend house it was more of the fact that sleepovers weren't cool. They were for little kids, but whatever. If she wanted to be here then he would stay here with her. He would support her decisions and protect her. Just like he always did.
Meanwhile, inside the houseā¦
She was always scared of everything, but when it came to matchmaking she was sure of herself. The sleepover was just the cover for her plans. If everything worked out by the end of the night her friend would all have a Prince Charming. And maybe she would be brave enough to tell her OCD partner her true feelings for him. Just maybe.
Stupid. That's what everyone thought about her. In the eyes of others she was just some weird little girl that was obsessed with giraffes. She wasn't though. She had to admit that she wasn't the smartest person on earth but she wasn't that stupid. She knew what her sister was planning. She hoped her plan worked because if it did then she would have something else to bother her friend about. Being stupid was sure fun!
Symmetry, he knew he was obsessed with it but not many people knew why. She was the reason he like symmetry so much. Well her among other reasons. She was perfectly symmetrical. He had felt this way about her for a long time but he didn't know how to say it without scaring her. After all she was scared of pretty much everything. That didn't matter though, because if everything worked out fine he would protect her from all the asymmetrical horrors of the world.
Tonight he would prove to them that he was their God. He would man up and ask her out. She had to agree. Of course she would, she was his partner, besides who wouldn't want to date a God. If he was her he would date himself. Tonight was the night. Maybe, or maybe he could tell her some other time. There was no rush right..?
She looked over to see him arguing again. She smiled to herself. He was a bit flashy but that only made him the more endearing. He could be sweet when he wanted to. Her friends had told her to make a move because according to them he was a dense idiot. She couldn't bring herself to act though. What if he didn't like her? She would only end up making things awkward. For now she would have to be happy just knowing he was near her.
His feeling were simple. He didn't know how to deal with this!
