I am very, very sorry about this.

Little Combeferre was at a loss. This wasn't normally the case - he was usually a very smart little boy. The truth was that he was at a loss about Enjorlas' actions today. True, their playdate hasn't been as fun as usual, but Combeferre did his best to make it better. However, Enjolras just suddenly took off and disappeared behind the door of his bedroom. Combeferre was puzzled. So, when he approached Enjorlas' door, he did the best thing he knew how to do. He sang.
"Enjy?
Do you want to build a barricade?
Come on, let's find some chairs!
We never do that anymore,
Come out the door,
It's like you've away.
We've always been best buddies,
And now something's wrong,
I wish you would tell me what.
Do you want to build a barricade?
It doesn't have to be a barricade.."
He suddenly heard a squeaky voice. "Go away, Ferre!"
Combeferre sighed. "Okay, bye."
Enjolras' fits like these have carried on for quite some time. Combeferre didn't know what to do. However, he was a very smart boy and he noticed things. Like how Enjolras wouldn't go running through the sprinklers with him anymore. Or like he would tense up every time a teacher at school announced that a doctor was coming by. When he brought it up to his parents, who worked for Enjolras' father, they told him to stay out of it. But he was not going to. So he just kept singing through Enjolras' door.
"Do you want to build a barricade?
Or read our books out on the lawn?
I think some fun is overdue,
I've started thinking of
Making barricades from my stuffed toys!
I feel a wee bit down,
All these unread books,
Just flipping through pages one by one..."
But his efforts were fruitless. Because Enjolras knew he could never tell his best friend his secret. The secret that he was the reason for his mother's death. And not a day went by that his father didn't remind him of it.
