Severus Snape stepped out of the shower and quickly dried himself before wrapping the now wet towel around his waist and walking into the next room, which happened to be his bedroom at Hogwarts. It had been a long day, seeing as how he'd been treated to a day with only first, second, and third years.
Ah well, at least my genius assistant was able to clean up that mess, he thought to himself as he remembered his first class, and Neville Longbottoms apparent clone melting his third cauldron in a week.
Just as Snape was slipping on his black pants and crisp white shirt, (seeing as how he pretty much dressed the same for bed, with the exception of taking off his shirt), he heard a knock at his chamber door. Taking a deep breath, he walked to the door, disappointed at seeing the Headmaster instead of his assistant, whom he had been expecting.
"Ah, Severus, fresh out of the shower I see," Dumbledore nodded at him, with that twinkle in his eye.
Oh great, he's up to something, Severus caught on fast with his unusually quick mind.
"Something I can do for you sir?" Severus asked.
"No, just thought I'd hang around down here for a bit, seeing as how you said you had nothing going on tonight when I asked you at dinner." The Headmaster replied.
Oh bloody hell, the old codger knows perfectly well what's going on and now he's come down here to catch me…..well I don't much care, but…well she might be embarrassed if he catches her down here….and she's still so worried that the people who matter most won't approve……well, crap!
"Oh all right Headmaster, I'll tell you what I have going on, not that you don't bloody already know! I'm seeing someone, and she is expected to be here soon. Is that a sufficient enough explanation for you old man?" Severus snapped.
"Well no need to….er…what's the saying, bite my head off Severus. I just thought you might like to share that with someone." Albus replied.
"ME?!" for a moment Snape looked confused, then suddenly something dawned on him, and for the first time in several years, Albus Dumbledore witnessed a laughing Severus Snape.
"You think I'm the one who doesn't want to go out in public yet? No bloody way, the infamous Albus Dumbledore is WRONG? Oh if I could shout that from the rooftops! Headmaster, she's the one who doesn't want to tell anybody yet, she's afraid you and Minerva will disapprove!"
Looking slightly put off at being wrong, the headmaster still had a bemused smile on his face as he took in the appearance of his laughing potions master, "well do tell her we have no problem at all with your relationship won't you? In fact, we whole-heartedly approve, it's high time you got laid my boy." And with that sentence, Albus practically bounced out of the room.
Ten minutes later, a much more composed Severus Snape heard another knock at his door. This time when he opened it, he was greeted with a face and body he welcomed with open arms. As he lead her into the sitting room he casually mentioned his earlier visit.
"By the way Hermione, Albus would like me to inform you that he's very happy we're together. Did I mention he actually got one of the facts WRONG?"
