Hello, little denzins. :}
My brain has been in a un-creative funk so I thought I'd test the waters with a little offensive material . . . or maybe just some poetry. It's the same thing. ;} It's short and painless. Well, it gets painful when you know it's supposed to be an imitation of Alexander Pope. [Just scratch you head and say "Huh?" That's what I did before I figured out which dead English guy he was.] Anyway, give it a read.
Disclaimer: Characters belong to Marvel, and I'm using them without permission. However, no greenage is greasing my palm for this, so there's no need to sue. This warped rendition is mine. Use it at your peril. . . .

Longshot #4, 1986
or
Quasi-Heroic Couplet No. 5
(as caterwauled to the little ditty in my head)
by: Beverly McIntyre
Leaping from steeple to rooftop, he flees,
Escaping into the path of skinnéd knees.
Dodging again, eye glows with yellow fire.
The arriving demon birthed by human sire.
Crims'n and blue demon overshoots the lid
The hero bends chance to whim, stopping skid.
He charges off, running like a scared hare,
Avoiding demons swinging through the air.
The emblem of the spider swings by him
Retreat leaves the demon's countenance grim.
