I stretched as I stumbled out of my room. Why was it so dark in here? Phil should I have left on the light on. I let my mind wonder as I made my way downstairs, heading towards the kitchen. Trying to think of video ideas had made me seriously hungry.
I jumped as I kicked something warm with my foot. Please tell me I hadn't just stepped on a mouse.
"what the fu- Phil?"
I looked down to see Phil curled up in a ball at the bottom of the stairs, his eyes closed tightly.
"Phil? What are you doing down there?"
I asked, sitting on the step above then nudging him lightly. "Phil?"
"It hurts"
I frowned as I heard his answer, now I think about it he does kinda look like he's in pain.
"What have you done now?"
He sat up, wincing as he moved his right leg slightly. He looked into my eyes, tears forming in his own.
"I was walking down here in the dark and I tripped and now…m-my ankle hurts"
I couldn't help but laugh. He was such a big kid, a clumsy one at that.
"you know, you deserve this for not turning the light on" I replied, gently touching his ankle.
"no I don- ow. Dan! That hurt!"
He yelped loudly trying to move away from me but only hurting himself more.
"Phil, stay still, you're only going to hurt yourself more" I tried to say in my most stern voice. He pouted at me, moving his hand to his ankle. "I won't move if you don't hurt it"
I sighed, standing up and moving so I was standing over him "Can you walk on it?"
He blushed slightly, adverting his eyes. "No…"
I chuckled softly, quickly scoping him up in my arms
"D-Dan, what are you doing?"
He asked, giving me an adorably confused look.
"Carrying you to the living room so you can lie on the couch. What else would I be doing?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him
"I don't k-know" he stuttered, obviously embarrassed that I was carrying him about like this.
I made my way to the living room, gently placing him down on the couch, making sure not to touch his ankle.
"Stay there, I'll get some ice for that"
Only after I had said that was when I realized how stupid it was. He couldn't walk so how was he supposed to go anywhere. Well done Dan. I quickly made my way to the kitchen, opening the freezer and looking for some ice. Of course, he didn't have an ice pack so I'd have to compromise.
Frozen peas?
Why not, it would work. I picked out the, over sized if you ask me, bag and walked back to Phil. As soon as I made my way over to him I placed the bag onto his ankle
"Ow, It's cold!"
He complained, trying to move his leg away, but yet again, only casing himself more pain. I sighed, gently sitting down by his sore ankle.
"It needs to be cold Phil, the swelling won't go down if it's not"
"But it's really cold" he whined, giving me an even bigger pout then before. I laughed at him, reaching for the remote and turning on the TV.
"Well it needs to stay on" I replied, nudging his other leg. A small smile tugged at his lips as he tried to keep up his act that he wasn't happy.
After a while the swelling had thankfully gone down and he could at least move it. At least he hadn't broken it. That would be an nightmare.
"Hey, Dan?"
I was broken out of my thoughts by his voice. I looked over at him. He wore a small sheepish smile on his face while he locked eyes with me.
"What is it?"
"Thanks, for helping me I mean"
I smiled at him
"No problem, I would be a terrible boyfriend if I didn't"
"Yeah, but…you didn't need to"
"shh you"
I replied softly, slowly getting up and moving to beside him. I leaned down until our lips were only inches apart
"I need to look after you, I love you after all"
I pressed my lips against his gently. I felt him smiling against my lips which instantly made me smile.
"You'd be a great nurse"
"shut it you"
I grinned, kissing him once again.
