Just Look Over Your Shoulder
Kenpachi Zaraki wanted to scream
"Now… left!" exclaimed the little weasel who was sitting on his right shoulder, her voice giddy with youth.
"You better be sure kid" all things considered, he through his tone was fairly even. For almost half a day his brat of a lieutenant had been directing him around the Seireitei, and in this time they run in 63 circles and hit 107 dead ends. Zaraki considered himself a tolerant man, but every man has his limits, and he was reaching his.
"Of course I am" said the little girl "… I think"
He often wondered why he put up with her, the girl was annoyingly hyperactive and far more then any captain should have to put up with.
Zaraki turned to look at her, ready to give the cotton candy nightmare a piece of his mind
"What is it Kenny?" she asked, much too innocently, her face contorting into something which resembled a grimace. His mind flashed back to the 79th district and he looked forward once more.
Zaraki sighed "nothing… left?"
"Yep!"
Picking up speed again Kenpachi Zaraki took off down another alleyway, this time clear of dead ends, Still frustrated, but feeling oddly complacent. This girl had been his only companion for so long, and if he ever needed reminding of that all he had to do was look over his shoulder.
