"PERSEUS JACKSON GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!"
Annabeth's scream echoed from the bathroom of their small one bedroom apartment. Percy cringed and slowly got up from his comfortable seat on the couch. He poked his head through the bathroom door to find Annabeth standing next to the toilet with crossed arms.
"Yes, my loving wife?" He asked with a grin.
Annabeth glared at him and crossed her arms.
"It's been two weeks." she said calmly.
Percy blinked.
"Um...could you elaborate?"
Annabeth pointed to the half used toilet paper roll that was sitting on top of the holster. Percy stared at it blankly.
"That toilet paper roll has been sitting on top of the holster for two weeks. TWO WEEKS Percy." Annabeth said, losing her composure.
"I wanted to see how long it would take you to fix it. So I let it sit there. It would take you five seconds to throw the old one away, and put the new one on." She said.
Percy smiled at her sheepishly. He pulled the holster off and threw the empty cardboard roll away. He slid the new one on and put the holster back on the wall.
"There." He said, smiling. "Problem solved."
He wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her in for a kiss. She stopped him with a finger on his chest. Annabeth pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration.
"Seriously Percy?" she said.
"What?" he said. "I fixed it."
"No you didn't!" She said, motioning towards it. "It's backwards."
Percy looked back at the toilet paper roll.
"No it isn't!" he claimed.
Annabeth pushed him aside and took the holster off of the wall. She flipped it around and put it back.
"The paper goes over the top, not under." She stated.
Percy furrowed his eyebrows.
"No, it goes under." he said.
"No Percy, it goes over." she retorted.
"Well it goes under if you have a cat." he said matter-of-factly.
"Percy. Do we have a cat?"
"...No."
"Exactly. So it goes over." said Annabeth. "It makes it easier to grab."
Percy thought for a moment, then smiled.
"But if we got a cat, we would put it under, right?" he asked.
Annabeth paused.
"Well, I guess so, because then the cat wouldn't tear up the toilet paper, but we don't have a-"
Percy walked out of the bathroom towards the front door. He grabbed his coat and his keys. Annabeth watched him from the hallway.
"Where are you going?" She asked warily.
As he reached for the door, Percy turned and winked at her with a smile.
"Pet store." he said.
"JACKSON I SWEAR TO THE GODS IF YOU COME BACK WITH A CAT-"
Percy closed the door behind him leaving Annabeth fuming. Forty minutes later he returned with a little Calico kitten.
And slept on the couch for a week.
