Two boards full, halls filled with gurneys, triage seats filled with some on the floor - this was how the ER looked like one Saturday afternoon. The new Chief of Emergency Medicine Susan Lewis was just barely getting by when Frank suddenly called her to give her a note.

"Dr. Lewis, Weaver wants you in her office pronto.", said Frank, giving the ER Chief the note. "Some sort of Chiefs assembly."

"Right now? Why wasn't I informed sooner? We're already in a complicated mess here." sighed Susan. "Pratt, Kovac, take charge of the board. Weaver's calling me."

Susan entered Kerry's office, expecting people like Kayson or Coburn inside, only to find just Kerry and Elizabeth Corday, Chief of Surgery sitting in front of the desk.

"You're both Chiefs. Your departments work together really closely, and I understand you live together as well, am I right?", asked Kerry.

"Kerry, we're not really "together", but were just-", Susan tried to explain.

"Oh stop complicating things, Susan.", interrupted Elizabeth, and said to Kerry, "Yes, we are living together", much to Susan's silent pleas and denial.

"I called you here in disguise of a general Chiefs' assembly, to be scheduled on Tuesday next week, to remind you of the policy to not mix business with personal. Understood?"

"Yes, Kerry.", nodded the two blondes. "We understand."

"Great. Then you may go.", said Kerry as the three of them stood up. "Remember, Chief's assembly on the 24th!"

"That's it?", Susan asked as she walked out the door. "I left the ER looking like a circus. Now I'm going to come back to an ER looking like a circus run over by a tornado."

"You will always be my little tornado, Susiecakes.", whispered Elizabeth as soon as they out of earshot. The words made Susan blush.

"Aw, stop it. Weaver just told us not to mix work and...this.", whispered Susan while giggling like a schoolgirl who just saw her crush.

"Of course I'm not mixing work and personal.", said Elizabeth with that look in her eyes that usually had Susan go weak in other, more intimate settings.

"Lizbeth.", said Susan in a mock anger. "Calling me Susiecakes is not the way to go, young lady."

"Yes mother.", said Elizabeth in a tone of mock innocence. Soon enough, their pagers beeped at the same time.

"See? I told you it will be a tornado down there.", snarked Susan.

"It is when you're in charge.", said Elizabeth as they entered the elevator leading to the ground floor.
