AN: Piano & I- Alicia Keys. This what I do in my creative writing class.
"Whatever tried to stop you from dreaming, whatever tries to stop you from living; flip it." Maxine sat cross-legged on her satin bedspread. The room was illuminated with candles of all scents, that she had come to love. It glowed with an eerie feeling that scared Natalia, because this wasn't normal for Maxine to spread candles around the room, it would always be glasses of wine and various types of liquor bottles.
"Max, you're scaring me. Stop it." Natalia slipped a nervous laugh and sipped her drink for a few seconds. "When did you acquire this… this talent?" She was amazed that her girlfriend had this beautiful ability to release her stress from her life; all by quoting a few words of Alicia Keys. "Maxine, what's that feeling?"
"Welcome home, cause right now what I have to do is I gotta amp myself up as well as you," Maxine's eyes were closed as the haunting words came out of her mouth. Natalia looked at her with curious eyes. "Maxie, did Ryan irritate you again? I can rough him up a little bit." The wind blew the curtains from their dormant position.
"So, yeah, so what it took me like, maybe two years and shit. But I'm feelin' prepared; you know what I'm sayin'. And I'm feelin' a little more ready for the world and less loss." Maxine shot her eyes open and stared right at her. Narrowing her eyes, Natalia leaned in a little bit. She leaned in close enough to smell the red wine from Maxine's mouth.
"Maxine, what does that mean?" Natalia whispered over the wind howling through the window. "What exactly are you ready for? Is it me, uh hu, I see you looking." Natalia smirked as Maxine bent her head down.
"Mirror mirror, on the wall, am I doing the right choice?" Maxine wasn't really talking to anyone; it was like Natalia wasn't there. Maxine looked up at Natalia and smiled.
"Do you know my name?" Maxine still babbled on. "You always got to try. Now madder how long that shit takes."
Natalia started to panic. "Max, stop."
"Shut up, Natalia! I just- I just need this. So… Jesus." Maxine put her head into her hands. "I don't know" She rubbed her eyes. "Shit; Natalia?" Maxine shut her mouth and pulled over to Natalia and kissed her; kissed her deeply. She could feel the CSI melt into the lips of the DNA analysis in attempt to get closer to her, love her closer.
"Maxine." Natalia rested her forehead on Maxine's and whispered her name. "That was magic, pure adulterated magic." She kissed the blonds nose.
"Magic's not real, Natalia." Maxine moved her head and kissed Natalia's jaw; forcing herself on theLatina, continuously attacking her lips until Maxine's kisses ran down her neck until clothes were shed and candles burned out.
