Title: When All That's Left Is You
Author: ohprettythrill
My Winter break has just started, and since I figured I'd have so much free time on my hands, what better way to pass the time than to come here and write a story? I'm not going to tell you the pairings because I feel that ruins the story because then you know what's going to happen in long run, haha, so you'll just have to wait and see :) Though, it's pretty self-explainatory, don't be fooled :) I have a lot of twists for this story.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Here's chapter one!
"Come on," He urged me, tugging at my arm, "It'll be fun!"
I wasn't in the mood to go with him. I didn't even want to be here as it is. It figures that he had to be in the same CD store I was in, and tried to convince me to come to his place. I don't even know why I came! Maybe he drugged me or put something in the soda I was drinking, because there's no way in hell I'd ever go to his house on my own free will/. I questioned this many times as I stood in his living room.
"I'm not going," I said, folding my arms across my chest.
"You'll have a good time!" He pleaded, "Just come with me?"
I rolled my eyes, "If I'll have 'such a good time', then why don't you just go by yourself?"
He sighed, "Because my dad's movie premieres are always so boring, and I didn't want to go alone. It looks really tacky when you show up without a date..."
Without a date? He's gotta' be kidding me, "So, what? I'm just some chick you place on your arm, so you look good in front of all of Daddy's friends? Forget it!" I was furious now. There was no way I was getting to let him, of all people, use me. I was running towards the door and he kept calling me, but I ignored it. I should have known there was a catch to this surprise 'meeting' of his.
"Dana -wait!" He grabbed my arms and spun me around, looking directly into my eyes. I hate when people do that, it always makes me nervous, so instead I looked down at my shoes, "Please, stay. I want... I want you stay, okay? And not just because of my dad. I really could careless about him... I just... will you stay? We don't even have to go! I swear! We could stay here if you want. We could go see a movie, we could go to the skatepark... I don't know, do whatever you want!" He continued to ramble in circles, waiting until I finally spoke up, "Please? Just don't leave."
I didn't know what to do. He seemed so unlike himself, so... helpless. As difficult as it was for me to fathom, I felt bad for him. It was the, finding a-lost-puppy-in the-pouring rain", bad; it was as if I didn't say yes, he would fall apart into a million little pieces, only to shatter them on the ground. And apparently I was the one who had to glue them back together, "Okay, Logan, I'll stay," I finally managed to speak,"But only for a few hours."
I woke up in a cold sweat. I wiped my hand against my wet forehead in disgust, this usually never happens to me. I've been having that dream every night since I got home from his house one week ago, and I have no idea why. Maybe it's because he hasn't called me to make plans since that moment, or maybe it's because I'm leaving for PCA tomorrow for my Senior year. I hope things are different. Normally, he's really annoying and cocky, not as much as he was, but still enough for you to want to beat the crap out of him. But when we hung out, he was genuinely nice, and surprisingly fun to be around. It was different -he was different.
Sighing, I got up out of bed and stared out at the starry night sky, hoping it would calm my nerves. This was going to be a very long year.
So, what do you think? Please, don't be too harsh! I know it wasn't that interesting/great, but what do you expect, it's only an introduction. Don't forget to review! 'Cus without them, this story will never continue!
