Still sweet darkness
calls me
E'en after trial by
fire.
The shadows whisper,
echo,
Reminder of dark
angel's song.
Still cruel light
beckons me
E'en after searing
truth.
The shadows part,
dispel,
Reminder of bright
angel's face.
In unguarded moments
Dark music reclaims my
heart,
Longing to hear but
once more
The sound of an angel's
voice.
In unguarded moments
Bright vision eclipses
my heart,
Longing to see but once
more
The charm of an angel's
smile.
Still the shadows call
us,
Our hearts, entwined as
one.
Though death or
marriage separate,
A music binds our
souls.
This music, not fully
of day or night
But purely of the dawn.
A/N: This poem is written from two points of view: Christine (who starts the poem) and Phantom. If this works out well, I will post more of this style of poem.
