Green plopped down on the sofa in his apartment, groaning as his body creaked and complained. "That's the last time we fly all the way to frickin' Sinnoh on our pokemon…" he grumbled, covering his eyes with his arm. Eevee agreed, curling up beside her trainer's head.

Then, Green felt a weight flop on top of him. Looking down, he saw Red sprawled out on his stomach, one arm tucked between their chests and the other draped by Red's side. The cute sight brought a blush to Green's face, and he had to make a huge effort to keep his heartbeat steady.

"Uh, what're you doing?" Green asked as calmly as he could.

Red shrugged and buried his nose in Green's shirt. " 'M tired…" he mumbled.

Green inhaled sharply and cast his eyes away. Everything was just fine. So what if his childhood crush was trying to sleep right on top of him. On purpose. Everything was just peachy.

"Don't you have a bed you could sleep in?"

Red let out a whine and shook his head. "Pik'chu took it over…"

That one managed to make Green snort. "Pikachu's less than a foot and half long; he can't take up that much room, Red…"

"He's in the middle…" Red tried, shifting to roll onto his side. The action nudged Green over a little bit, and for a second the gym leader thought Red was trying to shove him off. However, that idea was crushed when Red snatched his arm.

Green once again could feel his face heat up, and he had to remind himself that this was just how Red was. The boy meant nothing by all of this.

Right?

"Shove him over, then," Green suggested. Red shook his head furiously. "Why not?" More head shaking. "He'd forgive you."

"Can I not stay with you?" Red asked quietly, almost too quietly for Green to hear.

But, he did hear it, and it nearly broke his heart. "N-no, that's not what I was saying!" he insisted. "I just thought…I just wanted you to be comfortable and not, like, roll off or something!"

Good save, Green.

Red hummed and buried his nose in Green's arm. " 'M fine here…"

Now Green was almost certain Red was doing this on purpose. Why, he didn't know. It was almost like Red had become aware of his insane ability to be cute at any moment, and he was taking advantage of it. They could blame Ethan, right? But, no matter the reason, it seemed Green was stuck with Red right up against him and no way out.

And, like any sane person, he twisted to face Red and wrapped an arm around his waist. "If you wanna cuddle, we might as well frickin' cuddle right…" was all Green could say as explanation. If Red cared, it didn't show as he scooted closer and rested his head on Green's chest to fall asleep. Once Green was sure he was asleep, he pressed a kiss to the side of Red's head. "Love you, loser…" he whispered.

Red's arms tightened around Green and the champ mumbled out a "Love you, too," that flooded Green's stomach with thousands of Aerodactyls.

Wow it's been a while since I've written these losers...
