A/N: Hi! As the title would suggest, I got very bored. So I decided to see what would happen if Sherlock got bored. Also, this is my first Fanfiction, so please be nice. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

"Um, Sherlock? Precisely what is Anderson's wallet doing in the toaster?" The tone of this question was reprimanding and not in the slightest bit surprised. John Watson was used to his flat mate's odd 'experiments', so surprise seemed to have left him entirely.

"Bored," came Sherlock Holmes's reply. John sighed. He should have known. Two days had passed with no new case to solve, so Sherlock was obviously bored. Frankly, was there ever a time outside of cases when the man was not bored?

"Well, find a way to entertain yourself." John was now trying to get the smouldering, half-melted wallet out the toaster without burning or electrocuting himself. "Preferably one that doesn't involve destroying household appliances."

"Well, what is there that isn't dull?" Sherlock asked exasperatedly. John, who had somehow removed the wallet and was now making tea, rolled his eyes. Great, he thought, it's one of THOSE days.

"I don't know. Swimming?"

"Dull."

"Fencing?"

"Dull."

"Photography?"

"Dull."

"Removing Donovan's phone from yesterday's casserole?"

"That's an experiment, and if you touch it, I'll –"

"Bother Mycroft?"

"Yes! Mycroft! Annoying him will make me less bored. Thanks John!"

John walked into the living room with his tea to find Sherlock texting enthusiastically. Sherlock will never change, will he?
