Dylan had that "WHAT?" face. It took a while before he could understand what I just said. " Max, can you repeat that?" He said, pretending he didn't hear me at first.
I smiled at him. " Just kidding."
He exhaled in relief.
" But, I really need to bring you on the roof."
He looked at me again.
I gave a big sigh. " Dylan, do you want to fly or not?"
His eyes widened. " O-of course I do!"
I grabbed his arms and began to fly, lifting him off the ground. He was just so freakin' heavy! What did he eat? Rocks?
I looked at him and he seemed scared. Wait...Dylan was scared? Of what? Heights?
" Hey, Dylan, are you okay?" I asked him.
He looked at me and shook his head. I landed on the roof and he just fell on it. I giggled a bit and he glared at me. I tried to keep quiet, but it was just so funny! I mean, if someone who could fly was afraid of heights, it was like saying that Fang loved the color pink− impossible.
" If you really want to fly then conquer your fears." I said with a more serious tone.
He looked at me and stood up.
"Much better." I said with a grin. "Now look at those trees over there." I pointed out to him. It was surprising how obedient he had become.
"What does this have to do with teaching me how to fly?" He asked me. Suddenly, I pushed him off the roof. He fell backwards and I smiled at him. He desperately tried flapping his wings but it was too late, and he hit the ground before he could do it. He was so close.
" I thought you said you wouldn't do that!" I heard him yell at me. I glided down to where he was and saw that he landed on a bush and was stuck. I bursted out laughing. Now THIS was funny. He glared at me again, so I stopped and offered him a hand.
" You, have to swear to me you will not tell anyone about any of this, including my fear of heights." He told me as if HE was the boss.
" Who said you could boss me around?" I asked him sarcastically. "If you can catch me, I'll keep my mouth shut." I began to laugh again. This was getting fun.
I began flying slowly, enjoying the fact that he couldn't catch me this way. I looked at him and he was running towards me.
"You won't be able to catch me that way." I told him.
He didn't reply but he just kept on running after me. Then suddenly he unfolded his wings and he began to move them. Slowly, but roughly, he began to fly. Before I realized what was happening, he trapped me in his arms and whispered into my ear, " I caught you."
