A/N: Well, this was just something that popped into my head randomly. I really just written out a scene in the Celes Arc of Tsubasa. I've wanted to do something like this for awhile now, an now it's done!! XD Yay! Italics is a memory!

Disclaimer: I know, I know, I will never ever own Tsubasa: RC , it will always belong to the awesome group authors/magakas Clamp!

Frozen Memories

As I look back, Ashura must have known from the start. That he was used, he, too, was a victim of our curse.

The Twins of Misfortune

Such a cruel name to give ones so young. But we never really noticed it, Fay... my brother. Yuui... myself. I wonder if this was all meant to be. My brother, my other half... destined to be killed. To die.

I felt my senses blur, as I leaned against a shadowed wall. As I knelt down to the hard ground, my breath coming out uneven. Ashura is awake...I must hurry.

Ceres Country

I gritted my teeth as my spell missed my target, Kurogane. His skills equal to mine, as he dodged ongoing attack spells.

A fragment of a memory floated near my face, I instantly went back to that day.

"Looks like you've already memorized the spell in these magic writings." Ashura's hand on the page, the lettering fading before his fingers.

"Yes..."

"You've ended up learning most of the magic writings in the castle." He said knowingly as he looked around the Royal library.

The young boy's head lowered slightly, his light blond hair falling in front of his face.

"What's wrong, Fai? If there's anything you're worried about, I'd like you to tell me, okay?" The tall man said while looking down at a pain expression on "Fai".

"...However much I try, restoration, healing magic, I cannot learn them. All I can memorize is attack magic...only things that hurt people..." murmured Fai, a troubled expression on his face.

"Try smiling." offered Ashura.

"...Eh?" Fai looked up, clearly not expecting that response

"Smile." repeated a calm Ashura.

"..." the magician looked down, a slight pink rising to his face as he processed the idea.

He then broke out into a warm smile, but it was strained and unnatural.

"You were able to use it. The magic."

"...eh?" asked the confused young magician.

"With your smile, Fai, my heart was healed enough." explained the man, smiling slightly, "This is also magic."

The boy's eyes widened slightly in surprise. He lowered his head so his blond hair covered his face, hoping that his majesty wouldn't notice the bright pink on his warm cheeks.

Ashura smiled and gently patted the young boy on the head.

"...thank...you." was the response of the twin of misfortune. Finally able to bring happiness to one person...among countless deaths.

The fragment ended there and the battle continued, unnoticed among the magician and the warrior.

Angst, angst, and more angst... sheesh. This one was my favorite of all the memories, and so Fai learns how to smile! Maybe I'll do something like this again. :)

Ja ne!! And REVIEW please!! Thankies!
