I don't own Morganville Vampires. I don't own Vicky either, she's her own person.

This is for Vicky (incandescent dreams) seeing as she's been asking me for this for ages. Okay, so it's really short, but. I will write you a longer one with a better plot soon, promise. :)

It's a little bit twisted, really, the way that she's dating two men. No, not two men, two vampires. And it's a little bit messed up how she can lie effortlessly now, and the way that sometimes even she can't remember what the truth is. It's not really quite right how she's so hopelessly in love with both of them that she can't make the choice, and she won't make the choice, because she won't give up either of them.

And it's a flash of ginger, a smile, and he's Sam Glass and he's hers forever and it's scientific, moody, and lost, and he's Myrnin and he's hers for all eternity. When she closes her eyes she can't quite remember what she'll see when she opens them, who she'll be lying with, so she keeps her eyes shut. And maybe she's right. Maybe it is easier that way, keeping herself in the dark. It's Myrnin&Vicky and it's Sam&Vicky, and she can't quite bring herself to break up with either of them. She's fallen so deeply in love that there's no way out, she's digging herself a hole and she can only dig it deeper.

She knows it's wrong, and she knows she should stop, but since when did Vicky Stone listen to her conscience? She'd got the two guys she'd always wanted to be with- but she'd always imagined that she wouldn't have to keep her relationship with them a secret, because she wouldn't be dating them both at the same time.

But she's Vicky Stone, and that's what she does, and all that matters is that she's theirs and they're hers, and the fact that she's dating two men seems to disappear. When she closes her eyes, everything seems to go away. When she can escape from reality, it's okay, because what she's doing doesn't seem so wrong, because she's in love, and she justifies what she's doing with that fact.

She hopes that there will never come a day where the two of them realise what she's doing, and how she's tricked them both. She doesn't care if their fangs touch her throat, she's too far gone to care now, but she cares about how much they'll hurt. Because even though it may not seem like it, she cares about them, both of them.

(She cares about both of them too much to let either of them go.)
