Disclaimer : I own nothing. It's only fan-fiction...
A/N : Hello! This is my first fanfiction on . It always feel awkward, you know... to show something for the first time. But Please, don't hesitate to leave any critique! I'll welcome all.
Anyway... about this, I've always thought Lily was a bit harsh toward Snape, and always wondered, what she thought afterwards.. Surely she cannot forget about him completely like he was deleted by Obliviate..? And I wondered, if she could see what he had been doing after her death, how she - her soul - would act. So this is one of my version of what-could-be-passing-in-her-brain, and it's not in romantic way. (Although I love their romantic interaction... much more than her and Potter's?) It's very short, you'll see, but it was my best... so, enjoy!
You lost him.
You think you lost your oldest friend. You think you lost your childhood. You think you lost your first dream.
Time passes. You grow. Still, you lost him.
But now, you think you lost your creepy admirer. You think you lost your only flaw. And you miss your lost adventure of friendship.
You hear it. You hide.
You know you lost him – because he knew what others don't know. He always did. You realise you lost your strongest shield against your enemy. You realise you lost the only buffer you can use when you face the unbreakable Dark Lord.
He lost you. You can see it easily. Again, you remember you lost him.
You realise you lost his tears. You had never seen it before.
Now, you see it, briefly, just before you enter into the world of peace.
You watch him. You watch his final breath, because you lost him. No, you think you didn't – because you are in the same world. With him.
He walks. You too.
He sees you, and you see him.
He doesn't say a word – because he already said. All. Because he did everything, which was anything, to show those to you.
You don't say a word – because you don't know how to say, what to say.
You don't see him. You already know you lost him again, and you wonder what you lost with him, this time.
You see James, you see Sirius. You see Albus - no, he is not there, at your side. He is doing something. Then you see Peter. No, you don't see him. He is in another world. You know it. So you see Remus.
None of them can give you an answer. Because they don't know what it is. Nobody does.
Anyway, you don't need them.
You know what you lost. All along.
You lost time.
Time to understand, time to help. Time to forgive.
Time to go back.
So you lost him, for ever, and ever, and ever.
