Rain

Heavy rain poured down. The buildings were completely drenched, the streets were deserted. Nothing was heard except the sound of raindrops hitting the hard pavement.

Gray walked through the streets amidst the rain. He was wearing a black jacket over a red t-shirt. He didn't bother getting drenched by the rain. He passed over a couple of blocks before the burial place for the dead was visible. He passed through the arch that was in the entrance.

It was really foggy that day so all he could see was a couple of graves, which were arranged in rows. Even through the fog he knew his way. He passed a couple of rows before he saw that someone was seated in front of a tombstone. As he moved in that direction, the person glanced in his direction.

Gray could see that it was a girl dressed in black. He came to stop beside her and turned his gaze upon the grave. The words "Natsumi Dragneel," was carved in bold letters.

"I miss her," the girl beside him said. He could see her more clearly now; hazel eyes, dark ebony skin and blonde hair. He just sighed. The girl met his gaze. Her eyes were red from crying.

"You'll catch a cold," he said offering his hand. She blinked twice before she took his hand and pulled herself up.

"Don't you think it is a bit weird that it rains this particular day every year?," she said.

Gray said nothing as he continued to stare at the grave. Suddenly the image of the pink haired dragon slayer flashed into his mind. He couldn't hold it back anymore. He sank to his knees and began sobbing lightly. The girl came down and pulled him into a hug. Gray said nothing as he continued to sob.

"You really liked her despite everything huh?," she said.

"No,"

"I loved her,"

"If only (sob) I had..(sob) got there sooner-,"

"sshhh…," she said as he continued to sob.

Finally after a few more moments, Gray calmed down.

The girl got up. "I'll give you two some alone time," she said patting his back and started to walk away.

"Chico?," he called. She looked back.

"Laxus was looking for you,"

"Like a give a shit," she said with a scornful look. Gray chuckled. "Geez, what happened to you?," he mumbled.

"Don't people ask both of us that same question when they know the answer?," she said walking away.

"See you in a year, Gray,"
