Let it Go
Jade. She felt like something in her life was coming to an end. She felt like the only thing she really cared about was dwindling away. They used to be so close; they used to be eachother's everything. And now that was gone. She felt a deep pain inside. A pain that wouldn't go away. A pain of regret. That she didn't treat the one she loved with every ounce of her compassion. A pain that all of the love and tenderheartedness a relationship deserved went missing. And it was her fault. Her fault that it all happened. She felt that she had him down to where she could keep him forever. But she was wrong.
Beck. He was lost. Lost and confused in his own decision. He was proud of himself. Proud that he was brave to leave a relationship he felt didn't benefit him. Proud that he was now with someone he knew wouldn't even slightly try to treat him like shit. But he was also deeply, deeply sad. Sad that there wasn't anyway to fix what once existed. That the broken pieces and fragmented ends of their puzzle couldn't be put together and mended over again. He wanted it to work out so badly. Then he realized that we don't always get what we want.
They both were struggling with in themselves. An internal battle brewing in their heads were both eating them up inside. They wanted eachother so severely. But they both knew they weren't the right fit. She wanted to in control of everything. She wanted things to be right so desperately to the point where she would push others away. He was submissive to it. He had no voice. He just allowed things to happen. They both needed to know that time changes. And that things in the past could no longer be renewed. They could try as hard as they could. But it would never be the same. That feeling that once was could never be again. They just needed to…let it go.
