I couldn't believe it.

Another season of this shit, another season of Chris thinking up the most painful challenges he could in the hopes that maybe one of us would die and make the ratings go up?

Hadn't we all already gone through enough?

I hauled myself up onto the dock and tugged off my two soaked-through shirts, tossing them to the side and seriously contemplating kicking off my shorts, too, as the denim was even more irritating than the sticky cotton of my shirts. Glancing over at Courtney, who was screaming threats at Chris's turned back for not letting her compete, I decided against it. All I needed was her suing me for destroying her pupils with my 'indecency'.

Then I saw Bridgette standing amongst the wet campers. She, being the prepared surfer girl she was, had been wearing a bikini top underneath her hoodie and board shorts underneath her denim shorts, so she had stripped down to that and was drying off her hair with a towel, talking to Katie and Sadie. Probably expressing her sympathies that they didn't have a chance to compete. She was sweet like that.

As she tugged the elastic out of her hair to better dry it, she shook her wet blonde locks out and laughed at something Katie (Sadie? I really can't keep them straight) said and looked seriously like an angel standing there on the white sand of the beach.

It was then that I decided I could most certainly take another season.

I would take fifty seasons if she was there.

She spotted me and, smiling, walked over. A hundred season. A hundred and fifty.

"I'm so happy you made it too! I thought I'd be stuck facing Chris alone," she grinned, throwing her arms around me. Still not so great at hugs no matter how many she gave me, I awkwardly hugged her back, feeling her warm, wet skin against my own shivering body and feeling my heart rate increase.

Two hundred. Two hundred fifty.

Hell, just sign me up for a lifetime sentence to Total Drama Island.

A/N: Well, I heard that Bridgette gets eliminated in the first double-elimination ever in the first elimination episode, along with Geoff, because they can't stop making out long enough to participate in the challenges.

And if that actually happens (which, judging by the fact that in the intro, they're with the people who aren't participating, I'm guessing does), I'll write Duncan's reaction to that.

But this was just to lift my spirits.
