Flames flickered on his face, casting long, dark shadows on the ground. The bright fire warmed up the cold night air. There was only one word that could describe her. She was not beautiful in others' eyes, she was not sexy, she was passionate. Intense you could say. They were sitting in the grasslands. The young boy picked a red flower that was blooming beside him. He knelt and offered it to his princess. She took it, but watched as it burst into flames. Her smile shattered, and she began to cry her fiery tears, but the boy smiled and collected the ashen remains. He blew the ashes, and it flew away in the cold night wind.
"I do nothing but destroy." said the fiery princess. The boy shook his head, denying her, "No, of course not! You can't help it...I mean, you don't destroy...you make things brighter, more beautiful!"
Flame Princess laughs at the boy's words. He always seemed to get tongue twisted when he was around her.
"Sometimes I think I am too bright. Sometimes I just burn. That is my purpose." says she.
"Stop thinking that way! I think you're great just the way you are!" exclaims the boy. Flame Princess smiles, a slight blush forming on her cheeks.
"That's what you think, but your buffoon doesn't."
"Who, Jake? No, I'm sure if he knew, he'd approve."
"Then why don't you tell him?!" says Flame Princess, her voice rising, "Why don't you tell him about our secret meetings? We can't be like this forever, Prince Finn!"
The boy winced at her tone, but replies nevertheless, "Stop calling me Prince Finn, and if this is such a big issue for you, I'll tell Jake tomorrow!"
Flame Princess recoils, "You'll tell him?"
The boy nods angrily. The fiery princess shifts her angry expression to a confused one, then to a happy one. She laughed and kissed the boy right on the lips. The boy winced, and Flame Princess gasped and broke the kiss.
"I-I'm sorry." says she, staring at the burn marks on her prince's lips. She pauses for a while, then her lip quivers and her eyes start to tear.
"No, don't cry FP! It's okay." says the boy, trying to stop her tears. The fiery girl stops crying and stares at the young adventurer, then ponders about something. After a long silence, she stands.
"I can't." says she. The human boy is confused, "What? Can't what?"
"I can't be here. I'll just hurt you." says the girl, "Don't...don't look for me! Leave me alone! I'm too dangerous!"
She morphs into a fiery streak, and leaves, just a wisp of smoke left in the starry night sky.
"No!" says Finn, screaming, "You can't leave!" then in a gentler tone, "I need you..."

Also, don't mind the kiss. I don't freakin' care that they cant. It's my story. I make the rules. Anyway, I hope you like it! Sorry it's so short.
